Ferrari Spy Shots

Ferrari was founded in 1928 by Enzo Ferrari and participated in motorsports before building its own vehicles beginning in 1947. Purchased by the Fiat Group in 1969, Ferrari has maintained a presence in motorsports, particularly Formula One, since its founding. At the same time, the Italian automaker has also produced such famous road cars as the Dino, 288 GTO, Testarossa, F40 and Enzo, named after the company's founder.

    1241124960

Catching a glimpse inside Ferrari's top-secret Fiorano test track in Maranello is a rare treat. Catching a developmental test mule for an upcoming supercar on video is another matter entirely. But as Ferrari prepares for the anticipated debut of the successor to its F430, the proverbial cat was bound to leap out of the bag. You'll find the full video ...

Spy Shots: Ferrari 612 successor spotted in the wild
    1240579740

Earlier this month, sharp shooters brought us our first glimpse of the test mule under development to replace the gargantuan Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, and now we're getting a closer look... with some camouflage. As the big V12 four-seater is the oldest model in the Ferrari range, logic dictates that it should be next up for replacement. However, there remain ...

Spy Shots: Ferrari to give 599 the Scuderia treatment?
    1240493340

Some people just won't leave well enough alone. We love those people. Like the engineers at Ferrari, who routinely develop some of the most wicked supercars known to man, and then set about improve them.Take, for example, the 360 Modena. A spectacular car, by all accounts, so they made it better with the 360 Challenge Stradale. That 360 gave birth to the ...

Rendered Speculation: Ferrari F142 taking shape
    1240352940

CAR Magazine is running a new sketch of what they anticipate the newest V8 Ferrari will look like, and we have to say, we're a little disappointed. Internally dubbed the Ferrari F142, Maranello's replacement for the F430 is inching closer to its first public showing, and although we've seen some rather clunky test mules so far, we were hoping that the ...

Spy Shots: Replacement for Ferrari 612 Scaglietti could get a greener engine
    1239055080

There's been discussion recently of an updated 599 GTB Fiorano and a replacement for the F430, but the oldest Ferrari in the stable is the 612 Scaglietti. So it would stand to reason that Maranello would be planning to replace the controversial 2+2 flagship before its smaller siblings were updated, and reason may now be affirmed by the latest reports and ...

Spy Shots: Face-lift Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano on its way?
    1238622060

Three years may not seem like a long time to keep a car on the market, but for an exotic automaker built on a Formula One team accustomed to replacing their racing machinery every season, 36 months must seem like an eternity. That could explaining why the 599 GTB Fiorano, introduced just a few flips of the calendar ago in 2006, is already due for a ...

Spy Shots: Ferrari F450 mule spotted fresh off the truck
    1238174880

The long lenses over at Team Lehmann have just uncovered what looks to be the Ferrari F450, successor to the Italian marque's already legendary F430.While just a prototype and not caught with full production bodywork, the mule does give us our best look yet at the coming V8 supercar, and while it looks evolutionary, the folks at AutoExpress also have a ...

Spy Shots: Ferrari F450 prototype widened and scooped
    1235746860

The car codenamed F142 is going to be the Ferrari F450, successor to the current F430. Set on a modified F430 chassis with a wider front and rear track, the new car looks evolutionary but the changes aren't insubstantial. A 4.5-liter engine will be placed amidships, and its expected 500+ horsepower will need extra cooling. That means larger intakes, perhaps ...

    1222259580

Ferrari seem to content with cutting the roof off of everything these days. The F430 Spider remains the company's hottest-selling model, with the new California on the way. A roadster version of the 430 Scuderia is anticipated to make its debut at Mugello in November, and now spy shots have surfaced showing what sources suggest is a convertible version of ...

Background image confirms Ferrari 430 Scuderia Spider
    1222095480

Ferrari is either getting strategic or careless. The company usually keeps details about its upcoming models hush-hush until the vehicle is ready to make its debut, but lately Maranello seems to have more leaks than a pasta strainer. The latest is a screen-cap that seems to confirm the speculated 430 Scuderia Spider. Based on the fixed-roof 430 Scuderia, ...

It is official, at least from the pages of Car magazine: Ferrari's we-aren't-building-a-Dino Dino will appear at the Geneva Auto Show in March of '08. It arose from a stillborn Maserati that was to be a companion to the Granturismo. Maserati couldn't afford to make it, so the project became the Dino. Speculazione: Is this a new Maserati or the Ferrari Dino?
    1185218880

Manufacturers testing development mules for upcoming models go to great lengths to camouflage their prototypes in order to hide from the public what they're working on. That never stops the motoring press, in print and in cyberspace, from speculating on what that the camouflage is disguising, usually with considerable accuracy. A certain set of spy shots, ...
