Review: 2010 Chevrolet Equinox sets the tone for New GM

It's fitting that General Motors has a vehicle named after an astronomical phenomenon that marks the seasons. The first Equinox came from the "old" GM during the autumn of its long slide. Hopefully, the freshening signifies a springtime in GM's fortunes; a future desperately in need of a green infusion of the cash variety. Its products need to not only compete – but exceed – what's available from the competition. That figures to be a tall order, because the... Read More

Review: 2010 Honda CR-V defends the CUV crown
    1265734800

The Honda CR-V charged into the breach back in 1996, showing traditional SUV buyers that a rapier could work as well as a broadsword. When gas prices turned the body-on-frame market topsy-turvy, might didn't necessarily equal right. The meek crossover inherited the Earth, or at least a lot of conquest sales from former SUV buyers. The CR-V lead this ...

The reality of hydrogen as an energy carrier for transportation remains a painfully slow development, particularly the distribution of H2. The total number of publicly-accessible hydrogen stations in the United States remains in the few dozen range. In spite of that, there are small signs of progress, including a new station that opened up this week in ...

It's safe to say that 2009 has been the most difficult year in the 101-year history of General Motors. The Chevrolet Equinox has never really been a loser in the compact crossover segment, but it has also never really been a leader, either.
