2015 Toyota Highlander

The Toyota Highlander is a mid-size sport utility vehicle, engineered with Toyota's legendary quality and designed to stand out. A smooth performer, the Highlander also boasts progressive safety technologies and a spacious, flexible interior that seats up to eight in comfort; an available flip-up rear liftgate window provides quick access to the cargo area. The Highlander is offered in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations, with a choice of six trim levels: LE (FWD only), LE V6, LE Plus V6, XLE V6, Limited V6 and Limited Platinum V6. The LE is powered by a 185-hp 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine, while all other trims get the 270-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine; both are mated to a revised six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. The LE/LE V6 trims are equipped with 18-inch aluminum wheels, air conditioning, cruise control and Entune audio, featuring a 6.1-inch touch-screen display, CD/MP3 player, USB port and Bluetooth wireless connectivity/music streaming. The LE Plus gets a power liftgate, fog lights, Softex-accented upholstery, three-zone automatic climate control and HD/satellite radio, while the XLE adds a power moonroof, roof rails, full Softex upholstery and passive entry/start, as well as the Navigation and App Suite, including an 8-inch touch-screen with split screen display, voice activation, internet access and mobile device integration. Limited trims are further outfitted with 19-inch Chrometec wheels, LED daytime running lights, leather upholstery, heated/ventilated front seats and premium JBL audio, with the Limited Platinum adding a panoramic moonroof, heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel. Standard safety features include anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, electronic stability/traction control systems, a backup camera and eight airbags; a Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and rear parking sensors are standard on Limited/Limited Platinum trims. Additionally, a Driver Technology Package is available, offering Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Pre-Collision System and Lane Departure Alert with Automatic High Beam Headlights, as well as Safety Connect. Following a complete redesign last year, the Toyota Highlander carries over unchanged for 2015.
