Really a Nice SUV
I've had my 2012 SL AWD for 6 months now. I just returned from a week vacation where I put 1500 miles on the vehicle which was 2/3 highway driving and 1/3 local/town driving. The mileage I got was actually better than advertised. I got as much as 26.3 mpg on one tankful on the highway, and for the entire 1500 mile trip, I averaged 24.6. The ride is great, the CVT is silky smooth, and the interior is first class. I owned a Maxima for 7 years and it was a great car. I'm hoping the Murano is as good. One area where Nissan does skimp a bit is on the bells and whistles. Although my SL is very well equipped, it doesn't have a lot of the "gizmos" you might find on a Ford Edge. In some cases this can be a good thing, and the items that are on the car are very high quality. I would definitely recommend this SUV to those folks that are looking for a mid-size and don't require a 3rd seat. There is a lot to like here.
