What a great, fun & inexpensive car
Wow, thats what we said when we saw it for the first time. Our Hyundai dealer here cant keep them in stock. We have had ours for 2 months now we are geting a tick under 30 mpg. All the goodies that you get for the price. I not a small guy and driving is very comfy. The looks you get driving it are funny its the next new hit from Hyundai/ Kia.
Excellent Value- Great little ride
This is an awesome car for the money. Excellent handling, multi-adjustment seats, comfortablefront seats (6' 3" and I have plentry of leg room), tech/gadgets (Blue link is awesome- though an expensive monthly extra), responsive handling, great gas milage (we average 30 mpg city), driving stability, corners well, outstanding warranty and service contract. Backseat passengers shoudl be under 5'6" to have comfortable head room--- my wife is 5'7" and her head touched when she was in the backseat) The only 2 cons are the blind spots (particularly in the rear) and an issue we have experienced with the driver's seat material. As for the blind spots--- this is not a car for an inexperienced driver--- and an experienced driver must use all of their skills (almot to the point of distraction when driving) to ensure you are moving safely lane to lane. There is practically no through-the car-out the back window viewing via the rear-view mirror if you have back seat passengers and because of how low you sit, you must be aware of what you are coming up on and mindful of where things are when no longer in your view (curbs). The drivers seat showed wear litterally within a week ("wear" and "balling" of material). This was most likely the result of upper leg rub while driving the manual trans. The dealership took care of it immediately when brought to their attention. Excellent value! Can not stress that enough. For the same monthly payment as a 5 year old car with 55K miles... we have a brand new 2012 Veloster (Basic) 5-speed manual package (standard 10 year warranty)--- with add ons (Gap insurane, additional tire & wheel coverage from 5 to 10 years & Guardian protection). If I asked if I would buy this car again---- absolutely, though I would probably upgrade the seats to leather. Tony Diluzio and the team from Hertrich of New Castle (Delaware) where we bought our car made our purchase an outstanding experience. LOVE THIS CAR!!!
A sheep in wolves clothing
Ive owned the car for almost 2 weeks now and wish I had listened to most of the national publications on what this car is. Its an economy car! No matter all the bells and whistles, its an economy car. The car uses the 138 hp engine from the Accent and is woefully underpowered. If you run it up to the 3000 rpm level as the salesman suggests, it feels better but you will not be getting the 40 mpg it promises. The inside is very nice until you get to the Bluelink. This is a joke.We opted not to even get the 6 month free trial (privacy issues) The dealer really pushes this with an additional free 6 months if you give them your DEBIT card for auto renewal We have spent the two weeks we've owned it trying to get the "commercial" that comes up everytime you crank the car off the screen. Finally ,Hyundai sent me an email that they can't get rid of the commercial(their own words) .Also ,this is one of the first Hyundai's with an EDR on it. Other issues is no spare tire and did I mention the underpowered engine My other cars are a 350z and a MR2 ,so maybe I was expecting too much For people that crave a high mpg , no power car that looks good with alot of tech "bling" This is your car
