2012 Tahoe Overview

The Forester comes in three variants: base 2.5X, upscale 2.5X L.L.Bean Edition and sporty 2.5XT. Two of the three variants are powered by a 173 hp 2.5-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine. The 2.5XT Limited with its turbocharged 224 hp 2.5-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder is the most powerful Forester, and also the most expensive. Safety features include dual-stage front airbags, side-impact airbags, front active head restraints, antilock brakes and ABS with electronic brake-force distribution. For 2007, changes to the Subaru Forester are minimal. The Subaru B9 Tribeca is a large SUV that provides a lot of value in terms of technology, handling, foul-weather capability and dependability. Two versions of the Tribeca are available: a five-passenger and a seven-passenger. Both share the same powertrain, a 250-horsepower, six-cylinder engine driving all four wheels full time through a five-speed SportShift automatic. Each is available in standard and Limited trim. Safety features include Subaru's unique auto-retracting brake pedal assembly, dual-stage frontal airbags, seat-mounted side impact airbags, active head restraints, and curtain airbags. The Chevrolet Tahoe is a purpose-built, full-size four-door, family-oriented SUV. A sharp, precise driving feel, Active Fuel Management engine technology, and enhanced safety features make it a popular choice among full-size SUVs.The Chevrolet Tahoe is available in 2WD or 4WD and offers three distinct trim levels. The LS, the LT1 and the LTZ. The Tahoe seats up to nine passengers and when it is equipped with the Trailering Package, it is rated to tow up to 8500 pounds on the 2WD model and 8200 pounds on the 4WD model. All Tahoes come with a 320-hp 5.3-liter Vortec V8 E85 FlexFuel engine coupled to an efficient six-speed automatic transmission. Safety features standard on all models include dual-stage front airbags, side curtain airbags, seat-mounted side airbags, four-wheel anti-lock brakes with dynamic rear proportioning, Stabilitrak stability control system with rollover mitigation, tire pressure monitoring system, and OnStar. For 2012, the Chevrolet Tahoe offers three new paint choices. The LTZ trim has a heated steering wheel, a new standard radio with an 80 gigabyte hard drive and a standard side blind zone alert. The front-wheel drive John Cooper Works Clubman three-door hatchback represents the peak of MINI performance and utility. The turbocharged direct injection 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine produces 208 horsepower and features an overboost function that pushes the maximum torque from 192 lbs-ft to 207 lbs-ft. A six-speed manual is the only transmission available. The Clubman is nearly ten inches longer than the Cooper, and features a rear-opening third passenger-side door and pneumatically-assisted split rear cargo doors. Standard equipment includes exclusive 17-inch cross-spoke wheels with run-flat performance tires, piano black interior trim, Dynamic Stability Control, electronic differential lock control, and the debut of Dynamic Traction Control. Features such as Xenon headlights, sport suspension, aerodynamic body kit, Bluetooth, navigation system, satellite radio, leather seat trim, parking sensors, rain sensing wipers, and black or white racing stripes are optional.
