2011 Scion xB

2011 xB Photos
The boxy Scion xB, dubbed an "urban utility vehicle", has been the brand's cornerstone model with the broadest appeal among Scion buyers. The xB is powered by a 158-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. A four-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode is optional, and both gearboxes are controlled through a high-mounted shifter, which falls easily into the driver's hand. Every xB is equipped with 16-inch wheels, air conditioning, power mirrors and windows, power door locks with remote keyless entry, a satellite-compatible 160-watt Pioneer audio system with MP3 capability, an auxiliary audio input jack for portable music devices and USB connectivity; a rear liftgate provides access to a generous cargo area with approximately 70 cubic feet of capacity. Safety features include a vehicle stability control system with traction control, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, a tire pressure monitor, and dual front, front side-impact and overhead curtain airbags. The Scion xB is restyled for 2011, with a more aggressive exterior and additional comfort and convenience features. On the outside, the bumpers, grille, headlights and taillights have all been revised, while interior changes include a new center console with sliding armrest, a tilt/telescopic steering wheel and upgraded seating, with larger front bolsters and a new geometric pattern for the fabric.
