Review of 2011 Ford Taurus
This is a fleet vehicle and the nicest company car I have ever driven. I have all of 381 miles on the car. However everything is top notch and I am looking forward to driving this car for several years. The only negative is the bad visibilty outof the back window because of the back seat headrests. My personal cars are a BMW 545I and Porsche 911.
2011 Taurus Limited
The only Taurus available at this Limited level, at our dealer. But is was Gold Leaf and Tan inside and we were looking for a light colored car. It is a stand out and we have had a number of people remark on its large sedan stance and quality look. The performance of the standard V6 is remarkable, matched with a fine 6 speed auto/manual transmission. The Serius/GPS/Sony audio/Rearview camera/ Weather/Gas prices/Traffic conditions/All via voice commands...WOW! As well as keyless locks/Engine start/ Trunk access. It is a new way to relate to an Automobile! The trunk is huge plus fold down back seat backs. Front seat and back message and heat or cooling...more than you could ever think of asking for! Overall mileage is 15 mpg, but highway can hit 29 mpg on a level Pacific Coast Hwy drive.
A wonderful riding automobile
I recently purchased the 2011 Ford Taurus SEL, loaded with all available options for the trim group, leather, rear veiw camera, heated/ massaging seats, Sony audio, sunroof, synch, ambient lighting, 19" wheels and all season tires, rear spoiler in platinum white metallic. This is a beatiful car, everywhere I go people ask me about it. Most do not believe me when I tell them it is a Ford-much less a Taurus. It is a stunning automobile, roomy and comfortable and rides better than anything I have ever owned. This is my 8th new car I ever owned I have had Pontiacs, Chevrolets, and even a Chrysler, as well as a 2008 Bullitt Mustang. I would pick this car over any of them for comfort and pure enjoyment. It is a spirited automobile with ample power, though more is always better, and is sure footed and predictable in its handling, though there is a bit of torque steer under hard acceleration. I am happy with my decision to go with the Taurus. It gets good gas mileage, averaging 24 in the city, 29 on the interstate so far. It has more than ample room for the family as well as all the things that one must carry when you are taking several people on trips and what not, the trunk space is absolutely unbelievable! I would defintely recommend this car to anyone that has a family, it is rated 5 stars for front and side impact collisions and 4 stars for rollovers in other words it is safe. I hope that the long term experience will be as wondeful as the first 2,000 miles as I plan on putting this car on the road often.
