2011 RL Overview

As the flagship for the Acura Division, the Acura RL is one of the most sophisticated touring sedans on the road, blending smooth power and responsive handling with cutting-edge technologies and luxurious appointments.The RL is powered by a 300-hp 3.7-liter V6 engine, paired to a new six-speed automatic transmission with SportShift manual mode and paddle shifters. Acura's exclusive Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system enhances grip, stability and all-weather control, while an electric power assist steering system provides direct feedback. Every RL is outfitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, Xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights and a power moonroof; interior comforts include heated front seats, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, satellite radio, USB port and HandsFreeLink (Bluetooth) wireless connectivity and audio streaming. The available Technology package adds heated/ventilated front seats and an Active Front Lighting System (AFS), as well as a voice-activated navigation system with integrated rearview camera parking assist and real-time traffic and weather information. Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with traction control, front side-impact airbags, overhead curtain airbags, active front head restraints and a tire pressure monitoring system.The Acura RL gets several updates for 2011, including a revised front grille, new 15-spoke aluminum wheels and available rear parking sensors; a six-speed automatic transmission replaces the previous model year's five-speed automatic. Additionally, a new Advance Package now includes power-folding exterior mirrors, along with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and a Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS).
