I just bught my Rouge over the summer. It's my first new car. I orginally wanted a sports car but after much consideration and pricing I test drove the Rogue and loved it . Though I orginally wanted a sports car I loved the Rogue much more. It has sporty styling and drives like one too. This car is extremly practical and I was surprised for my age that I would buy a car like the Rogue but it has been great.
I just bought my Rouge today. Did all the research and could not find anything that was a better value. Love the sporty look......love the handling and the roominess. I am an old Mustang lover but what with the grandkids and their friends and their pets ...I needed something roomier and the Rouge seems the perfect solution to my overt crowded Mustang....but still has the sporty look and the quickness I like. Safety rating was also a big factor and the great warranties cinched the deal for me.....
Love my Rogue
I purchased my Rogue a month ago and I have to say, I love it! My first thought when I saw it was that it was too small for my liking, until I actually sat in it and drove it. I have dogs and grandkids, this vehicle easily fits a dog crate in the back with the seats up and my grandkids. If I don't have the kids I can put both back seats down and easily fit two dog crates inside with no problem. The seats are very comfortable, buttons, knobs, dials etc, are all easy to reach and operate. I have the basic, no frills edition which suits me perfectly. I'm getting better than expected gas mileage at about 25 MPG on my daily driving around town and to work, and around 32 on the highway on the trips I've taken it on so far. And that's on the hills of PA! Love the look of the vehicle from the outside, sporty, but yet very much a family vehicle. The only thing I could possibly complain about is it does have quite a bit of road noise inside while driving. I'd love to see Nissan address this issue, if they do, this would be the ultimate perfect vehicle all the way around. I can't wait for winter again so I can see how it goes in the snow!
Great vehicle but ...
We've owned for less than a month and found the car to be solid in handling, pleasantly appointed with a nice interior and exterior. We're not bells and whistles folks so we enjoy the dash and overall layout of the controls. Road noise from the rear is a bit louder than anticipated but it is not too much of a problem as it doesn't drown out conversations. The CVT is interesting as you find yourself accelerating and not having the accustomed to transmission shifts, so one has to account for the smoothness in acceleration. The car has let us down on gas mileage. The listed 21/27 has been more like 17/20. The highway mileage was done on a 4 hour trip to see family of which 97% was open highway driving.
I have enjoyed driving this vehicle. The seats are very comfortable. I was worried about the light color of the seats and flooring, but is good so far. It looks sharp and is easy to maneuver because of its size. I like the value for the price paid. I got the 360 degree package and LOVE that. The rear view mirrow with the backup monitor and spoiler are awesome. Minor drawbacks are that the glovebox does not lock, the back seat has no arm rest, the gas tank does not lock, and no small enclosed storage compartment on the driver's side to store small stuff like coins or keys...but there is room inside the open storage area near the gearstick and inside the other large storage area. ******* had the double compartments...smaller one on top and big one below. There are blind spots, so I had to get used to using mirrors and learning how to twist around to see what's behind or beside me...especially on the driver's side! Overall, love it.
