2009 S80 Overview

The Volvo S80 is a modern, good looking, quick and powerful sedan with a surefooted stance and solid performance.The front-wheel drive S80 is available with a 235-hp 3.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine. The V8 and T6 are available with all-wheel drive and a 311-hp 4.4-liter V8 engine or a 281-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six. All engines are matched with a six-speed Geartronic automatic transmission. Safety features include ABS, traction control, stability control, and six airbags. Adaptive cruise control, collision warning system with pre-braking, and blind-spot information system are optional, as well as active bi-xenon headlamps that follow the road around curves. Also included in the safety roster is the Personal Car Communicator, and an electronic key fob.For 2009, the Volvo S80 includes Bluetooth in standard equipment.The front-wheel drive Focus is available as a four-door sedan or five-door hatchback. Ford offers three trims on the Focus, the S is available on the sedan, the SE and Titanium are available on both models. The high efficiency engine is a 160-hp 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder with twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT), direct gasoline injection and E85 capability. It is paired with either a five-speed manual or six-speed auto-shift manual transmission. A 123-hp 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine matched with either a six-speed manual or auto-shift transmission is available on the SE trim. Seven airbags, rear seats with three headrests, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, remote keyless entry, rear camera, power door locks, and SYNC are standard on all series. Available features include SYNC 3, Sirius satellite Radio, a Sony Premium Audio system, and heated front seats and exterior mirrors.
