The Mitsubishi Eclipse is a sporty two door, four-seat coupe with good looks and a roomy interior. It appeals to a large audience with its youthful looks and affordable price. The Eclipse has four trims: GS, GT, SE and SE-V6. A 162 hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine paired with either a five-speed manual transmission or four-speed automatic with manual shift mode. A 263 hp 3.8-liter V6 engine powers the GT and the SE-V6 and comes with a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic. Standard safety features include frontal-impact, side-impact and side curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The Mitsubishi Eclipse gains an additional trim level, SE-V6, for 2008, as well as its first electronic stability system (standard only on SE-V6 models).
