Best on the road
Owned at '99, 03' and currently own an '06 SR% 4X4 that I plan to keep for many more years. Comfortable and enjoyable on 15+ hour day trips. V8 pulls 6X10 U-Haul with ease. Good off-road stability and in snow. 23-24 mpg on road and 18-19 city. Still not a fan of the squared, box look.
good investment suv gas mileage not bad. good get up and go suv
look just as good as any other big over priced suv when you take gas priceses into concideration. I have taking acouple of long trips and the only thing i don't like is the wind i here when I'm driving with the windows all the way up.
06' 4Runner Sport - Awesome Vehicle!

I have the Sport Edition V6. I formerly owned a 2000 Limited. Toyota has made great improvements to this vehicle. The ride and breaking is super smooth for that of a larger vehicle. The 4.0L V6 provides much more power than the 3rd generation V6! 183 to 236 HP is quite a nice jump with not much difference in fuel consumption. The larger fuel tank was a great idea as well. The cloth seats are very comfortable and make me want to go on a 6 hour road trip. The only thing I don't care for is that it has started to look like many other cars on the road. Overall it has maintained the muscled look of earlier years though. I recommend this vehicle for anybody who has an active outdoor lifestyle. Not to mention when the second row seats are folded down my 6'2" frame has no problem finding room to take a nap if needed.

Review of 2006 Toyota 4Runner

Does not ride as smooth as my highlander did and more wind noise but is somewhat bigger and more comfortable. Gas guage in awkward positon. All in all..great vehicle!
