The only problem so far was chipping paint but this problem was corrected by the dealer at no charge to me. THIS IS MY 1ST NISSAN AND I PLAN TO KEEP IT FOR SEVERAL MORE YEARS.

This is a great SUV for the price. It has alot of room and horsepower.

I have the Off Road edition (hill descent control, larger wheels/tires, locking rear differential, etc.) PRO: This XTerra is easy to drive around town, cruises effortlessly at 75-80mph on the Interstate, and is equally at home off-road. Good acceleration. It's relatively quiet, has a great sound system (Harmon-Kardon w/in dash 6-CD changer and subwoofer). Nice looking and durable interior materials easy to keep clean after using it for camping and 4-wheeling. Rear seats fold out of the way. CON: Not many. Fuel mpg is lower than expected at only 15-16 around town, 20 on the hwy.

I bought a 2005 used and it's the best vehicle I think I've ever owned. I've had Blazer and Explorer and have yet to find anything that even compares to this SUV. Each and every component is a marvel, and the ride and drive are perfect, with just the right amount of road feel. The engine performance is wonderful and has just what you need when you need it. It's a design success with a perfect combination of a bit rugged and bet refined.
