I had a 2005 V 6 and my problems started during 98000 of service. I had to have clutch repaired, very costly. This is the first time I replaced a clutch at this mileage. Had a 98 Frontier and never replaced the clutch during the 168000 miles of service. Converter went causing the motor to stop. There were 2 sensors replaced and was told they were recall items and was charged for the labor but not the parts by the dealer. I complained, but no response from company. The repairs went on and on. I now own an Escape and I am satisfied. The truck had many thoughtful ideas but the flaws stand out in my mind.

I have owned a 1998 now a 2005 Frontier Crew Cab 4X4. The 6 cyl has a lot more get up and go than the past 4 cyl I had in the past. The millage is 16 mpg - 20 mpg depending on conditions. The Frontier handles like a truck and not a car. If you do not like the feel of a truck or the ride then you are not going to like the Frontier. But if you want a truck then Frontier is worth a look. The feel is like the 1998 I had owned but better. I have over 43,000 miles on now. I had to replace the fuel gage with the electric fuel pump at a cost of 500 dollars installed. The brakes and tires are still the original and the power on the road really kicks ass. I love it and you may also.
