Kept me so safe after the accident that I bought another one!
My first car was a 1985 Mercedes Benz... It didn't last long. My mom went out and found me a used 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor with 80k miles on it. I LOVED it. The inside looked like a spaceship to me. I was 17. About two months after I got it, my boyfriend and I were driving to NC for the weekend. I let him drive because i'd had little sleep, but was unaware that he'd not gotten any more sleep than I did. He fell asleep at the wheel, going about 70mph on cruise control, and when we hit the side of the road, he woke suddenly, and the noise scared him. He jerked back onto the road, overcorrected and sent the car into a spin. We hit the median of the highway and the car flipped completely over! We ended up coming to a stop on the other side of the median, facing the opposite direction that we were headed. The car had flipped completely over and back upright. All of the windows were busted on the right side, except for mine. All the tires were blown out, the doors on the right side were jammed, the windsheild was still intact but shattered. And we BOTH walked away from it with no more than a few bumps and bruises. He only had ONE little scratch on his arm, like it was from a cat. I had a few bruises, but nothing serious. The airbags didn't deploy because there was no front end force, but I think we'd have been injured more if they were deployed. Anyway... The car was totaled and we owed a big bill to NC for taking out SEVEN sections of median. The car kept us so safe that when we went to get a new one, we weren't happy until we found the same car. I got another Endeavor, year 2005 and only 50k miles on it. It drives amazingly, has great control, an awesome stereo system and it looks so sexy. I LOVE THIS CAR!
I was really surprised by it when I purchased it back in 2005. I will probably buy another when I decide to upgrade.
