Anything VW is GOOD!

I have 2 friends that bought a Jetta and they have nothing but great things to say about it. They go on and on how much they love driving their car, how it handles and the great gas milage. I bought one of the New VW Beetle Convertable and have had great luck with it. It is one of the best cars I have ever owned besides the first car I bought which was a VW Beetle Sun Bug 1974. I have had the best of luck with VWs. They make quality cars that last and they get great gas milage! You can NEVER go wrong when it comes to a VW!
Dont do it

This is the first foreign car I have ever owned. It will be the last and never ever another VW. I have spent more in repair on this car than all American made cars I have owned combined and I am 48 years old.The car does handle ok for the size,if you can keep it running.Repairs are outragously expensive.I paid $100.00 for a small rubber hose that you can only get at the VW dealer. The car is not very comfy and is way way overrated.I will stick with a brand new Chevy Cobalt for half the price with a 5yr. 100,000 mile warranty. It does have some foreign parts on it but will not break my wallet for repairs if needed. It takes about an hour to replace the left headlight.Dont do it! Buy American
Love My Jetta

I got my 2004 Jetta new and 5 years on it still runs fantastically well! People always ask me how much work I've had done to keep it running and the answer is none. As long as you take it for regular servicing this car has yet to let me down. It is a comfortable ride and despite only have a 4 cylinder engine, has fantastic pick-up and is an overall fun and peppy car to drive. Handles very well and turns on a dime. A great price and lots to offer.
LUV MY VW
Have owned 5 different VW models and have enjoyed and loved all of them. My Jettas and Passats were exceptional cars and now would haven't anything else!
Quality is still a MAJOR problem!!
VW and their dealerships are the prime example of how NOT to run a car company. The most recent example: a poorly designed and even worst manufacturing processes of a flywheel failed at only 70K miles. These are just billets of solid steel - basically bullet-proof. Even though the dealership admits it was a faulty part, the warranty was good for the year but had just gone over on the mileage. Result: $1,635.00 repair bill and the dealership refuses to warranty the flywheel as they know it will fail prematurely again!!! To make matters worse - the repair guy didn't fasten the belly pan correctly and it fell off on the highway with my wife and daughter!!! Have had two major safety recalls on this car and have only had it for a year!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
value for the dollar
got it an extended warrenty used. do all things per the owners manuel and since now have fun again in driving, very easy on gasy 27 city 34 road. Take it out town monthly. Would certainly do it over again, only wish I had done so earlier.
