I LOVE My 2004 Jaguar X-Type

I purchased a 2004 Jaguar X-Type with 15,000 miles. she has a 5 speed manual transmission. The manual Transmission is great, and easy to learn. Can feel heavy at times, but you get used to it, and its worth it. I would never own this in an automatic, she has soo much more characteristics. I love the car so much. I now have about 20,000 miles on the car. I replaced those crappy tires with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires, and replaced the wheels with 18" Sport Series wheels. It looks and handles great. She feels like a true luxury car now, and she handles like never before. She used to understeer like a dog, but now she will do a full four wheel slide. I have also added new chrome trim and a mesh grille. Very comfortable on long rides, and also not too shabby on fuel efficiency. I average about 22 MPG, but with careful driving, I have had it up to 29 MPG. Also has a wonderful audio system. Love the car, and I reccomend it to anyone looking for an affordable and usable luxury car.
Good, but was expcting a little better.

Purchased new, now has 65K miles on it. Tires wear out very quickly, put on Fuzions 30K ago, wearing very well. Car is a little noisy and sometimes rough riding with 18" tires, but PA roads aren't the best either. Car is surefooted and stable in all weather, much better than my 4 wheel drive truck. Every day is a spring day in this car, as I always say. Many small annoying problems with interior trim parts and pieces but dealer always went out of way to fix. ***************** engine and Jatco transmission drivetrain is smooth and feels rock solid, gets about 23.4 MPG on rural roads. Premium fuel only. Fuel tank is too small, always filling up, but never spent more than $42 when gas was 4.20 a gallon. Never left me sit or needed to be towed, but anything that needs repairing out of warranty is very expensive, typical for Euro luxury car. The WOW factor is the main selling point as everyone thinks you spent 70 grand when in fact, we got it for less than a loaded Subaru Outback Sedan, and about 16K less than comparable equipped BMW 330Xi
