He's a Keeper and That's What I'm Gonna Do.

So here I am. A teenager faced with the future prospect of college. And it's going to be college far from home. For that I'll need a good car. My luck with cars pretty much sucks since this is actually my third car, but I've been far luckier with this one than the previous cars. He's a good sturdy car. Actually because he has so much more power than my other cars he actually saved my life - basically an idiot tried to pass me on a blind hill and only missed to the other car (and me) because when I floored my speed when from 65 to about 90 in nothing flat. The other driver still only missed the other car by about a foot. I haven't been bogged down by repairs. Just the harmonic balancer, and I've been told that it was bound to happen as it is with all Chevys. This car has good power and good gas mileage. Having enough power to do the aforementioned life-saving manuver and get 30 mpg when calmly driven makes it a definite thumbs up for me. And the torque helps for driving in the snow. I can pick up speed to go through snow drifts and keep pulling through them without having to become frantic and make the wheels spin which would of course, doom me. Living in Colorado helps to teach Winter Driving Skills. I like how sturdy the supsension is too. Again, I live in Colorado, a pretty much rural area of Colorado, so the strong stable feeling I get when driving this car helps me to feel in control on all the dirt roads instead of like I'm just being thrown around on the road. I've heard horror stories about how much people have had to spend on repairing this model, but luckily I haven't experienced it, and I don't think that anyone would if they actually spent money on preventative maintanence rather than repair. Would I recommend this car to you? If you don't have a lot of money and need a small yet spacious, powerful, and rather reliable mule of a car then yes I would definitely recommend it to you. As long as you know how to take care of a car you'll be fine.
just keeps on going
have 222,000 miles on mine....only expenses have been routine...tires, brakes, battery, oil changes.
