1999 Quest Owner Reviews (2)
ME AND MY 1999 NISSAN QUEST....I MISS IT !
AOL user Dec 27, 2009
I BOUGHT THE SANDSTONE 1999 GXE NEW IN 5/99. THE CAR RAN 67000 MILES WITHOUT A PROBLEM. IN 7/09 THE LEFT AXEL WENT...A $300 REPAIR. AND THAT WAS IT. MY BROTHER IN LAW GOT ME A DEAL ON A RAV 4 AS AN EMPLOYEE AND "BABY" WAS GETTING OLD AND STARTING TO RATTLE AND SHE NEEDED NEW MOTOR MOUNTS. IF THE 2010 RAV4 IS A GREAT SUV AS MANY PEOPLE SAY, THEN MY OLD GIRL WAS THE BEST. I SHOULD HAVE KEPT IT IN THE FAMILY! I LIKED THE QUEST BETTER.
Nissan Quest was a Great Family Car

I purchased my '99 Quest in the early part of '98 when they just came out and were redesigned. I had the minivan until we traded it in on an '05 Murano. Our Quest had been through the war and back by the time we traded it in. We had over 150K in miles on it and was well used. The interior was still pretty sharp because most of those miles were all highway driving. But raising a family in the van takes it's toll on the appearance. I'm sure many of you can relate! If you come across one for sale from the original owner who took good care of it I'd have no hesitation in purchasing it if that is what you're looking to do. Car prices are so high and to get a decent used vehicle one must really do their homework. My only complaint with the Quest along with all of it's competition is that they build these roving living rooms for Mommmy's not Daddy's. I'm 6.3 and my long legs tend to cramp when I drove the minivan for an extened time. The drivers seat could have gone back another couple inches to make me more comfortable. Other than that, the vehicle was a pleasure to own and to drive. Happy motoring all!
