A longtime automotive enthusiast, Brandon Turkus’ inauspicious beginnings in the industry (he was fired from his first car-related job at an exotic car dealer) have grown into a nearly 10-year career. During that time, he’s done everything from scheduling and delivering the same cars you see reviewed on Autoblog, to reviewing and photographing cars for Winding Road as Fleet Manager and Online Editor. Turkus is a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, a keen amateur photographer, and a fan of odd British roadsters and French hatchbacks.

Official: Mercedes-Maybach S600 is not the luxury limo we expected [w/video]
    1416403800

We should preface the above headline with this: we fully expected Mercedes-Benz to introduce a more luxurious S-Class sedan, complete with a longer wheelbase. We've seen plenty of spy photos of the stretched sedan, and it was frankly a matter of "when" rather than "if" the flagship's flagship ...

Sea trials for the US Navy's F-35C carrier variant continue, with the latest tests ditching sunny skies for the dark of night. Operating off a carrier at night, as any naval aviator will tell you, is an entirely different and far more dangerous ball game, making this an important stage in the new ...

Read This: Ecclestone dismissive of young F1 fans, small teams in wide-ranging interview
    1416153600

Octogenarian billionaire, briber and Bond villain caricature Bernie Ecclestone is not popular with the fans of the sport he oversees with an iron fist, and somehow, we don't think that's set to change after the 84-year-old gave a pretty wide-ranging interview with Campaign Asia-Pacific. It all ...

Video: Was the VW Beetle the most important object of the 20th Century?
    1416013140

Few cars are as significant as the original Volkswagen Beetle. We aren't saying that because over 21 million were built, or because it was built continuously for 65 years. It's not even because it essentially did for Germany what the Ford Model T did for the United States, the Citroen 2CV did for ...
