2017 Jaguar F-TYPE R 2dr All-Wheel Drive Convertible

Overview

The F-TYPE represents Jaguar's commitment to the full-size sports car segment, focusing on performance, agility and driver involvement. For 2017, the F-TYPE is available as a coupe or convertible, rear-wheel or all-wheel drive models and with a manual or automatic transmission. Engine options include a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 with 340-hp for the F-TYPE and F-TYPE Premium and 380-hp for the F-TYPE S and F-TYPE British Design Edition. A 5.0-liter supercharged V8 producing 550-hp comes in the F-TYPE R while power is increased to 575hp for the brand new F-TYPE SVR. The six-speed ZF manual transmission is now exclusively available for V6 rear-wheel drive (RWD) configurations, while all-wheel drive (AWD) models use the eight-speed 'Quickshift' automatic transmission. Features across the F-TYPE lineup include Intelligent Stop/Start, Jaguar Smart Key with keyless start, automatic Bi-Xenon HID headlights with dynamic leveling, seats with leather and Suedecloth seating surfaces, Jaguar InControl suite of technologies, 770-watt Meridian audio system with an eight-inch touch-screen. Moving up the F-TYPE range adds additional performance features such as Adaptive Dynamics (variable damping), limited slip or electronic active rear differentials, Driver-selectable Active Sport Exhaust, configurable dynamic mode, increased wheel sizes and high performance braking systems. For 2017, the F-TYPE has added two new trims. The British Design Edition adds larger brakes, 20" wheels and tires and a range of Union Jack badging and British flair. The SVR comes with an increase in power, advanced aerodynamic upgrades and wider wheels and tires to make it the fastest F-TYPE ever. These additions to the lineup as well as some minor equipment changes and additions to the existing models, make the F-TYPE more desirable than ever.
