Report: Aston Martin considering GT3-derived Vantage supercar
    1384099320

Life imitating art imitating life. It's a rare but ponderous thing to see, but our favorite variation is a road car turned into a racecar which in turn results in a road car. It's the formula adopted by Ferrari to turn the 360 Modena into the 360 Challenge and then back into the 360 Challenge Stradale – a formula which it has followed with the 430 ...

While slow sales and a $50,000 price tag may have been contributing factors to the Aston Martin Cygnet being cancelled last month, Aston Martin CEO Ulrich Bez is pointing the finger at Toyota for the demise of this luxurious little city car. In a discussion with Autocar, Bez is quoted as saying that the ultimate reason the Cygnet was cut is because Toyota ...

First Drive: 2015 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S [UPDATE]
What Happens When A Restaurant Alters Your Favorite Dish? 1382025420

A little more than two years ago, I called the 2011 Aston Martin V12 Vantage "an intoxicating machine masterfully engineered to gratify every emotion in a car enthusiast's soul." It wasn't difficult to understand why, as the aluminum two-seater was like an old-school muscle car in its mechanical execution. While most of its competitors were boasting ...

Report: Aston Martin still planning Lagonda revival
    1381775460

What's in a name? Sometimes more than meets the eye. Take Aston Martin, for example. That may be the brand name under which it sells its high-end GT cars, but that's not the name of the company. No, its full name is Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, and it doesn't intend to leave the second part of its name dormant forever. Lagonda, for those unfamiliar, is an ...

All is not well in Gaydon, as Aston Martin has reported a 24.6-million pound ($39.3M USD) pre-tax loss, an increase from the previous year's 21.2-million pound – $33.9-million – loss. Followup: Fewer than 150 Cygnet superminis sold before Aston clipped its wings
    1381321680

The Aston Martin Cygnet wasn't exactly a hot seller during its two-year production run, which ended as of late last month. But despite British racing icon Sir Stirling Moss gifting one to his wife for her birthday, it seems that Britons didn't really care for it either: only 150 Cygnets were sold in Britain, Aston Martin's home country, Reuters ...

Report: Aston Martin Cygnet bumbles its way out of production
    1380551280

According to a report in Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, the Aston Martin Cygnet has gone out of production. The world may never see a mid-engine Aston Martin. Never, ever. Why? Pebble Beach is an outstanding event if you're interested in pre-war classics, but outside of the parking lots, it's a bit light on more modern stuff.
