Review: Aston Martin DBS Carbon Black devours suns, spits them out
We'll admit right now that we have never been completely taken with the Aston Martin DBS. It wasn't that we didn't like it – on the contrary, it's every bit the fabulous car. It's just that we found the DBS slightly... too much, in the same way you could have too much pampering or too much caviar. Even as you're finding the words to decline the next round of Beluga you're thinking, "Wow, I can't believe I'm about to give this the stiffarm, but..." It's all about the fact that the DB9, to our eyes, is just right. The DB9 needs nothing added, and as fabulous as the DBS is, it marks the ... Read More

As much as it pains us to say it, the current core range from Aston Martin has grown a little stale. But fret not: a new model is just around the corner. Snapped undergoing testing at the Nürburgring in this latest batch of spy shots is what looks to be a new and nearly complete V12 GT from Gaydon. Code-named AM 310, it could be a successor to ...

Now, however, you have a few more options with regards to the exterior color of your spy ...

Quick Spin: Aston Martin DBS Volante gives convertibles a very, very good name 1250611080
When you love the performance of a particular coupe, it's not often that you get to hop in the convertible version and say to yourself, "So... you mean I can have the same thing with the top down?" But in between the tight and relentless esses of Monterey's Carmel Valley Road, that's what we found ourselves debating. What we settled on was this: While ...

Geneva 2009: Aston Martin DBS Volante drops its top 1236275880
The curiously shaped Lagonda revival, absurdly potent One-77 supercar and V12-powered Vantage were not the only new vehicles that Aston Martin brought to the Geneva Motor Show. Last but certainly not least is the DBS Volante, which is Aston-speak for a droptop version of James Bond's favorite ride. Powered by a 6.0-liter V12 that's shared with the ...

Geneva Preview: Aston Martin DBS Volante the ultimate in alfresco 12-cylinder motoring 1235505600
Thanks to the embargo-breaking crew at World Car Fans, we can finally give up the details on the 2009 Aston Martin DBS Volante. The drop-top version of Bond's uber-Aston features a fabric roof that can be retracted in 14 seconds at speeds up to 30 mph and supposedly looks just as good with the top up as the top down. Motivation is provided by the same ...

Aston Martin has bigger plans for Frankfurt 1188218040
Aston Martin had one of the worst displays at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show, stuffed into the corner of the Ford section with precisely zero pizazz. Since Aston's new owners want to make a good impression, it looks like they're planning on kicking off the 2007-2008 auto show season with a big bang at Frankfurt. We've already told you about the fire-breathing ...

Pebble Beach Week 2007: Aston Martin DBS brings Bond to the commoner man 1187708580
Although we did our best to get around to all of the events up in Monterey last week, the fates sometimes conspired against us. Bear with us then as we play a bit of catch-up this week and share some pics of the unveilings and debuts you may have missed. Here we show off a few shots of the more track-like DBS from Aston Martin. Finished in a bluish silver ...

Dr. Bez spills the beans, announces DBS pricing 1187530740
Our friend Lou Ann Hammond of Carlist was among the small cadre of early-rising journos who ventured out to Pebble Beach's 18th green on Thursday morning to see Dr. Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin, formally introduce the DBS (video here). Now, while pricing on the sumptuous supercar apparently wasn't supposed to be announced until the Frankfurt show in ...
