As GMC Truck, the General Motors division retained a truck-oriented focus not shared by its volume-oriented sibling, Chevrolet. And this was especially applicable to those looking for commercial vehicles, where GMC offerings ran the gamut, from light duty 1/2-ton pickups to bus and dump truck chassis. More recently, with the growing interest in pickups and SUVs, GMC has offered a slightly upscale take on those retail offerings from Chevrolet, Ford and Dodge/Ram.

GMC's entry-level Terrain crossover is the brand's most affordable and, while well behind the Sierra pickup in sales, is GMC's second most popular. In a showroom without sports cars, fun-to-drive takes on a different context, but we'd nominate any 4X4 iteration of the midsize Canyon pickup as 'fun to drive'. And while most heavily-optioned pickups and SUVs can be expensive, GMC's Yukon XL - with options - can easily exceed $70,000.
