Oh Russia, you're like the Florida of countries – you can do just about anything if you're crazy enough. But rather than doing all sorts of Florida-y things, these Russians just built a tank. Yes, a tank. It should be pointed out that this vehicle isn't some homemade alternative to Russia's new T-14 Armata. It's just a humble MS-1.

Built over an eight-month period by the UFO Garage, the MS-1 was also known as the T-18 and marked the first of Russia's long-running "T" series of tanks. In fact, it was the first armored vehicle built by the Soviet Union, and entered service in the late 1920s. With such a relatively simple level of engineering, crafting a homemade MS-1 doesn't sound like a Herculean task.

But as you're about to see, it was far from a simple matter. The degree of fabrication here, from the tank's frame to the treads to the exterior required some serious effort (largely because of the obsessive attention to detail). You can follow the entire eight-month build in the easy to digest video attached at the top of the page.
