We like the standard Land Rover Range Rover Sport an awful lot. But it's not without its issues. Chief among them is the 3.0-liter, supercharged V6, which with 340 horsepower lacks the outright punch of the old V8 model.

The limited-edition Land Rover model addresses that complaint, though, adding an extra 40 horsepower and as we said in our original post, eclipsing even the old, naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8. Combined with the lighter, aluminum construction of this latest generation of Sport, it's safe to say that the HST should hit a real sweet spot between the base 340-hp model and the (frankly unnecessary) 510-horsepower Supercharged trim.

You can read more about the Range Rover Sport HST, including details about its aesthetic changes, in our original post. But before you do that, we've got a full crop of images of the new car, direct from the 2015 New York Auto Show.
