Some races come and go from season to season, but there are a handful that the world arguably just couldn't do without: the Monaco Grand Prix, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Indianapolis 500, the Daytona 500... but for motorbike road racing, it's all about the Isle of Man TT.

The famous Touring Trophy has been held on the island nestled in between Great Britain and Ireland since 1907 (with a few exceptions here or there) and in the new year will run for the 96th time. John McGuinness will once again be the man to beat, as he in turn looks to top Joey Dunlop's record of 26 wins.

Unfortunately this year's TT is still half a year away, scheduled for a two-week speed-fest from May 30 to June 12, 2015. But if you can't wait that long to get your fix of motorbikes speeding down country roads and though centuries-old villages, the organizers have released this teaser clip to keep the motor oil flowing.
