2015 Chevy Corvette order guideWant to see how you'd configure your new Corvette Z06? No, we're afraid that model has yet to be included in Chevy's online configuration tool, but it has been added to the order guide. So now Corvette buyers will have the choice between the base Stingray coupe, the Z51 coupe, the Stingray convertible, Z51 convertible, Z06 coupe or Z06 convertible. That's six variants in all, giving those in the market for the latest American sports car a wealth of choices.

Of course, those three versions and two body-styles are only the starting point to which you can add a wealth of options, from the Performance Data Recorder to the full Z07 performance package with carbon-ceramic brakes and suspension upgrades. No matter which way you spec it, you're still getting the most powerful vehicle General Motors has ever made, with 650 horsepower and just as much torque from a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that might as well be called the ZR1 already. Check out the order guide broken down page by page in the gallery below.

      I am truly impressed by the 650HP/650Lb' numbers.  However, I am disappointed to see the weight move up again to 3500+LB.  Though I can't afford one new, I'd gladly take a 3200lb Z06 with 600HP, especially with cars like the 458 Speciale, 650S, 911 GT3.  I realize those are all waaaay out of the 'vette's league with regard to price, but not performance.

      Only 650?  Pfffft.  Yawn, the bar has been raised already.

        By what, the Hellcat?  I like those cars too, but they aren't in the same league as this.

        Keep judging cars on stats on paper, that's all that matters....

        You don't need that much more power, at some point it becomes useless as there isn't enough traction to put down all the power without slippage.

      So the Z06 gets a fixed roof instead of the pimptastic removable roof. That's good, but I still like the notchback available on the C5.

      Stingray body width 73.9", Z06 body width 77.4"...I honestly, didn't realize the difference in width was so significant.

      I looked a few times but don't see the Level 2 aero package option.  I remember GM said there would be three levels: base, Level 2, and the Level 3 package that's part of Z07.  I don't need or even really want much of what the Z07 package offers (PSC2 tires would be absurd for DD, carbon ceramic brakes don't really make sense on street or track compared to a good traditional setup for all kinds of reasons, and the L3 aero looks to be a bit over the top), but I'm definitely curious about the intermediate option.

        And before I get flamed, yes I realize and respect that the L3 aero is completely functional -- but it doesn't seem very practical on a DD, especially that huge carbon fiber front splitter.  And although I go to the track, I am nowhere near the level of needing adjustable rear aero, so if there's an intermediate option that gives me some added grip for the track without giving me panic attacks at every speed bump, I'm all for it.

      I wasn't expecting the Z06 to be added to the order guide so soon. I was figuring closer to Christmas time.

          They said if you could afford the old one, you'd be able to afford the new one...

          My guess is 80-90k.

          I'll guess it will be priced like the C6 ZR1.

          @Chris O.

          They said that it'd be on sale after the first of the year IIRC, so I assumed that the order banks would open closer to the end of CY 2014.  If they're opening the order banks now, we might see them on the streets by Christmas.

          This also means that the media drives should be soon...
