Son Surprises Dad with a 1953 Hudson Hornet
Cars and stories go hand in hand for we enthusiasts. Most of us have that car, the one that we can trace our automotive enthusiasm back to. Moreover, for many of us, those vehicles were encountered in one impossible-to-replicate set of circumstances that made the entire experience that much more special.

For Dr. Larry Benson, his car was a 1953 Hudson Hornet. That car set off a lifelong enthusiasm for cars that inspired his son, Aaron, to scrounge through Craigslist and eBay Motors in an attempt to dig up one of the rare sedans.

Well, Aaron was successful, and setup an elaborate plan to deliver the car to his dad. Naturally, it was all caught on video. Take a look.

Now, if you'll excuse us, we need to figure out why it's so damn dusty in here.

I don't know... them being rich makes the video a little less special, seeing as how easily attainable something like that would be for them at any given time. I plan to find a nice '53 Ford Mainline V8 for my grandfather as a Christmas gift this year though, which was his first car that he bought brand new right after he moved to Detroit & started working for GM. It's the car he met my grandmother in, and the one he talks about the most. Luckily they aren't especially expensive & relatively plentiful.

Yeah if I was as well of these guys I'd do the same thing.

My dad had a 57 Ford Convertible. He loved that car. Wish he was still around to buy him another-like this film.

Now those were great cars. If you could avoid rust, they'd run forever.

Not as sexy as what he drove to the filming. The body was ahead of it's time, the drivetrain behind

Back when cars were distinguishable and individual, not anonymous and generic, well ,excpt Lexus and Juke, which are just generically ugly.

Nice to see someone realizes that it isn't about having things, that it is about giving back.

What difference does it make that they may be rich? It was a wonderful gesture on the part of a son who loves and respects his father.
