The next-generation Ford Mustang SVT is one of the most anticipated performance cars of the moment. We've already seen it testing multiple times, but it has always been covered is some very heavy camouflage. However, Ford has just given us our best view yet of the new muscle car. According to our spy photographer, the Mustang was at the Nürburgring for high-speed testing, which meant that the Blue Oval had to remove most of the heavy obfuscation that the SVT has worn previously.

The stylish, more revealing camo makes picking out some of the more interesting details about the SVT rather easy. Starting from the front, there is the big hood scoop to feed cold air to its still mysterious engine. You can also immediately make out the model's new grille and lower front air dam. It has a vertical piece running from the bottom of the hood all the way to the ground. The aggressive styling almost gives the 'Stang the look of two fangs ready to bite down. The hood seam is even taped off here, which shows us its outline.

Around the side, it appears that the front and rear fenders are wider than stock, and the sills are certainly much larger. You can also just make out the SVT's bigger brakes behind its black wheels with a polished lip. Finally, at the rear, things appear mostly stock other than the diffuser that the exhaust outlets nestle into.

Overall, it's certainly a fierce package, and it gives us a lot to look forward to ahead of the SVT's rumored 2016 model year launch. Click through the gallery to check it out from all of the angles.

UPDATE: Thanks to our friends at Mustang6g.com, We've added video of the 350GT where you can hear the beast below.

      Did the designers actively try to make the front clip look like a mean, scary snake face? It looks awesome.

      I'd say it isn't a hood scoop feeding the engine, but rather an air extractor, like the ones on the fenders that the author overlooked...

      A 707 horsepower Challenger, & 580 ZL1 Camaro, plus now the new Ford Mustang SVT, these indeed is the best times in pony car history. I will make my final choice after the 2016 Camaro comes out.

      After the introduction of the "Hell Cat" from Dodge, Ford has one option with this SVT- Take no prisoners...

        All the replies are great, but yeah totally an apple to orange thing and if a "muscle car" can hang with a "sports car" I am happy with my favorite American car. Price per dollar the stang and vette CANNOT be beat. Though the new SRT8 707 hp will make some noise. The Camaro Z28 is just stupid expensive for what you dont get, besides performance. Its just fun to see a poor mans race car versus the vette. Because in real life, these numbers are so close it comes down to the driver. If you disagree, I fully assume you have not race on the streets. Good day!!!

        I'm sure Chevrolet would not appreciate the comparison - the Shamvette against a real performance product that can do more than carry an idiot and a passenger.

          apologies, didnt see the apples to oranges quip...but no one compares apples with oranges anyways, so comparison would be null and void....and sorry, im not of the hashtag, OMG, LMFAO...crowd, smh?......

        The stingray is a beast, it pulls above 1.4 g's and has rev match, low down torques, and with PTM just is a track monster.. The best car one would hope this takes down is the ZL1, which is a serious track car. The thing is right now, Chevrolet just has so much goodies its its technological go fast bag of tricks, its difficult for anyone to keep up. Take Camaro 1LE without PTM and magnetic ride control, it will still take down an M4 on a track. That is serious. The Cadillac Vsport CTS puts down staggering numbers. above 1 G on motortrends figure 8, stops in 97ft from 100. that is better than a Carrera S

          @mchicha...not entirely correct, the ZL1 is a track car, the GT500 was designed from the get go as a daily driver with serious attachements....200mph from the factory not serious engineering????...

          Ngiotta, the GT500 is much faster than the ZL1, for 2 laps, then it disintegrates, the motor overheat, the brakes, warp, etc etc... The ZL1 stays composed and can put down lap after lap all day. Its understandable why. the GT500 was a marketing exercise to rain on the ZL1's party, it was not a serious engineering effort by Ford.

      Ford, just tell me where to send my money? BTW, please explain to me how many performance Mustangs will be available? I know only "Shelby" like current Shelby GT500, but don't know about "SVT". So there will be 2 powerful Mustangs: Shelby GT350 and SVT, right?

        @Sergey R
        In the end it is all SVT anyways. SVT designed the GT500, they just paid for the Shelby name.
