Manchester United fans, it's time. Your famous red jersey will soon bear the Chevrolet Bowtie, regardless of any boycotts you may plan. To celebrate this fact, Chevy has put together a video of the evolution of the kit (kit being British English for the uniform, including the jersey) through the years, overlaid with the team's famous song, Glory, Glory Man United, a tune better know to us Yanks as the Battle Hymn of the Republic.

The video follows a sole supporter through the streets of Manchester, as his ranks grow and his kit changes over the years. The parade eventually ends at the team's famous grounds, Old Trafford. Finally, an unconvinced and monotone Wayne Rooney appears, with a promise for the team's supporters.

Take a look at the full video below.

All for Chevy branding the Jersey. Tho I wish they monotoned the logo. The shading just doesn't jive well with the cleanness of the kit. Hope they fix (sooner rather than later).

        1. Why? 2. I know what you mean but yeah, what aatbloke said. There is no such thing as a "Manchester fan". There are City fans and there are United fans (or supporters for the truly pedantic).

Come on, in the context of a story about Manchester United it's pretty evident that if someone says "Manchester fan" they are most likely talking about United.

559 million dollars?! No wonder stupid GM needed a government bailout. Do they just let one person sign off on such a huge waste of money? Like you are going to buy a car because a logo is on a soccer jersey.

No, but millions of Asians (where Man Utd is the most popular club in the most popular league in the world) might. GM has every right to market their cars.
