A big part of what makes a supercar super is how it makes you feel, but the performance stats and bragging rights are undeniably a big part of the equation as well. Which means you can't ignore the fact that, even with its price ever escalating, the Nissan GT-R makes minced meat out of European exotics costing twice or three times as much.

That's the inspiration for this trio of fake ads from photographer Tim Kent. In this mock campaign, Kent has depicted the GT-R as a butcher's knife and the European exotics as pieces of slaughtered meat. Ferrari is symbolized by a package of horse meat, Porsche by a pack of sausages and Lamborghini as a pair of, um... "prairie oysters".

Of course the ads are never going to run anywhere, and if you're squeamish (or vegetarian) we wouldn't suggest looking at them in close proximity to your lunch. But we have to admit they're creative, and effective.

          @Kimura

          @Kimura for a fake, is a fake, gt-r do nurburgring with 7:08 minutes, with modification, and the people made a lot of thing because this weak record, well... with the same rules, lambos do this less than 7 minutes, with large advantage against gt-r, aprox 10 or 20 secords better, and... ferrari already do less than 7 minutes too

      Where is this 0-60 mph in 2.0 seconds number coming from? I've seen it since about this time last year, and it keeps getting published even though the actual 0-60 time is from 2.5-2.9 seconds for the GT-R Nismo.

        It gets publish because it is rumor that the new GTR will get 2 sec, the gtr hybrid -r, however some one is confuse, thinking it is the nismo.

        nismo time is 2.4 sec not 2.5-2.9 sec, track edition 2.7 sec

        The ads were made by a fan, not Nissan. Misunderstanding.

      Excellent :-) Consider this - Nissan only has a 6-speed gearbox, that is a bit old now. The trouble is, NO OTHER MANUFACTURER was capable of besting it. For several years. They are building cars NOW that are still outdated compared to the first generation GT-R.

      This "ad" is pretty damn funny and creative. Forget all the bs of fighting over soul, specs, price, ect... and give the artist props for the "ad" and pictures, it is a good laugh.

      i not know what happen inside the head of a fan... they made this because nissan made 7 minutes in nurburgring, with modifications, well if we look for this rules, lamborghinis and ferraris with modification can do this track less than 7 minutes, about 10 or 20 seconds better than gt-r, so... this add was a false victory

      The GT-R is nothing more than a AWD 370Z overdosing on steroids........

        Sure, it's practically the same, only the engine, drivetrain, suspension and transmission is different.

        That's funny last I checked the GT-R was built on the PM platform and the 370Z was on the FM platform.

      Lol at people claiming "hail the Z06 or hail the Z/28." 0-60, 0-100, 1/4 mile, Nurburg, Leguna, VIR. The rednecks don't win any of those.

      Cheap company. Cheaper cars. Cheapest fans. Yeah, let this be a supercar for those who cannot afford proper ones. Nothing against asian sports cars, I love cars such the NSX, LF-A and Supra, but these new generation GTR fans are annoying to the point that you want to run them over.

        So you are mad that a a cheaper car is faster than the "best" fastest car? You show how emotionally hurt you are by the way you speak. Dont understand why it offends you, what can you say against it? NOTHING.

      This really vettes my appetite for the Z06. The bigger they are, the harder they fall, Godzilla.
