General Motors has gone from simply providing vehicles for the Transformers series of films to supplying actors, as Vice President of Global Design Ed Welburn will be making an appearance in the latest installment of director Michael Bay's franchise.

Welburn revealed that he has a speaking roll, which sees him confront star Mark Wahlberg in a scene filmed at the GM Design Dome. It's not clear what role Welburn will be playing, although he did tell The Detroit News that his line to Wahlberg ("My office in 15 minutes. I think you know where that is.") required him to "get angry." He also mentioned that his office was transformed into that of a CIA executive, which could hint that the GM Tech Center, where Welburn's office and the Design Dome are located, could feature as some sort of CIA installation in the upcoming tentpole flick.

In addition to filming with Welburn at the Design Dome, T4 also filmed scenes in the lobby of the Design Center, at various other areas at the tech center, at GM's Milford Proving Grounds and at the Delta Township factory where the Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Traverse are built.

Transformers: Age of Extinction hits theaters on June 27.
