A Reddit user from Louisville, Kentucky, appropriately known as 'Belairboy,' never forgot a promise he made to his father when he was just eight years old.

"Growing up my dad always dreamed of owning a '57 Chevy Bel-Air," he wrote on the site. "He grew up poor in a family of 7 children. He never thought he would be able to own his dream vehicle but would talk about it all the time."

Even as a child the Redditor was able to see how much having the car would mean to his dad, vowing to give him one on his 57th birthday. He kept his word. Belairboy uploaded a video on Friday of his surprised and tearful father seeing his dream car in his own garage for the first time. Laying eyes on the blue '57 Chevy, he couldn't quite believe it.

"No," he insisted. "No it ain't."

The Reddit user said he bought the car two years ago and kept it in his garage, waiting for his father's 57th birthday to roll around. The car is not in perfect shape, but runs well enough for trips around the neighborhood with friends.
