BMW has released its mile-long list of model changes for 2015. It's mostly comprised of tiny tweaks to options packages, pricing or trim colors, but there are a few interesting new features in there too. One thing all buyers will notice is that as of July 1, the company's destination charge increases by $25, to $950 for all of its models.

The 2 Series gets two really useful upgrades for 2015. We already knew that BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system would be offered on the M235i this summer. However, it won't be the only 2 capable of spinning all four wheels. The 228i model will also be available with the system for $34,850 (after destination), $1,800 more than the standard model.

The other big addition brings a sportier ride to the 228i (with or without xDrive) for those who don't want to spring for the M235i. BMW is adding a Track Handling Package (pictured above) that lowers the suspension 10mm and includes the Adaptive M Suspension, Variable Sport Steering, M Sport Brakes and 18-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. It's available on manual or automatic models at $1,600 for cars ordered with the M Sport or Sport Line trims or $2,200 without it.

The X5 also sees a performance improvement. In October, the displacement of the N55 engine in the sDrive35i and xDrive35i gets bumped from 2.979 liters to 3.001 liters, and the eight-speed automatic is also upgraded. The changes shed about a tenth of a second off of the SUV's sprint to 60 miles per hour.

There are a few other more minor adjustments sprinkled among the rest of the lineup. For instance, all 5 Series models now get standard LED foglights. One change that might not make enthusiasts happy is that the Z4 sDrive35i is no longer available with a manual transmission; the seven-speed dual clutch is the only gearbox available for the model. Scroll down to read the official release below and check out the myriad changes.

      But can you get the xDrive with a manual transmission? Currently, the only way you're getting that combo in a modern BMW is to shell out over $45K for a 335i. At least Audi still offers Quattro and manual together for under $35K. Real leather comes standard, too. God bless Audi.

        @Winnie Jenkems

        I was just at my local BMW dealership and brought in my mint 2005 300I manual 6 speed.  It is loaded, had it built to my specs new with the M4 package et al.  I absolutely love it.   Problem is I live in MA and it is rear wheel drive.  Was hoping to get all of the options that I put into my car in a newer version with AWD.  Looked at many, none drove as well as mine, and then looked at a new 2015 2 series just delivered to the lot that included all options that I was looking for.  Price:46,000.  I've had Audis in the past, liked them as well, but BMW has a better service record.  Do you know anything about the 2 series that would be helpful?

      sforza209 - The M235i is the successors to the E46 M3. I had a 2992 M Coupe and I feel that my 235i is very similar in size and feel. Tech is better, leather not as nice, much better fuel economy and the same fun factor. www.mjposner.com/bmwm235i

        no it isn't. the M235i is just a WORSE version of the 135is...which was much more like the E46 m3.

        E46 M3 had an LSD, M235i does not. The letter M shouldn't appear anywhere near a vehicle that doesn't have an LSD.

      I love me some BMW. I'll take a manual(no cost standard) alpine white 228i with the m sport and track package, and maybe throw some adaptive xenons on top of that. That, in me eyes, is the absolute perfect car that I could enjoy for years and years. I could easily see these cars becoming the new e30s a couple decades from now judging from all the great reviews they're getting with the 1M and the upcoming M2 becoming icons like the e30 M3.
