For Dubai Police, going from 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds is just another day at the office.

The news site Vocative scored a sneak peak inside the Dubai Police force's stable. Even in a city known for its outrageous wealth and opulence, the fleet is jaw-dropping. Tucked in among $6 million dollars worth of extreme machines is the crown jewel of the police's garage, a Bugatti Veyron.

The Veyron is one of the worlds fastest and, at $1.6 million, the most expensive production car on the market. With a staggering 1,001 horsepower engine that can run the Veyron up to 267 mph, the Dubai police could catch any criminal they set their sights on. Instead, they use the Veyron, along with its Audi, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Bentley and other luxury automobiles, for marketing and outreach purposes.

Seem like a waste of some serious power? At least the Dubai police actually drive their supercars. The Los Angeles Police Department received a donated Lamborghini Gallardo for its fleet. Their Lambo will be displayed at charity events only.

Citizens in the UAE don't pay personal income tax nor sales tax on everyday items like food, clothes, etc. They get their money from oil prices they charge other countries.

267 MPH Holy Do-Do Can you imagine some Dubai cop-dude trying to get up to that speed, so he can say he's been there, done that. I wouldn't want to be in the vicinity if that were tried but onward & upward goes Progress. Where else but in Dubai would you find such cop-cars.

It would seem to me that that police force has more money than brains. That is idiocy in my book but they do strange things in those countries. I wonder if they have any women on their force?

It's a good thing you didn't say something like when a Street cop drives a Bugatti for a patrol car.

Well, the police force in Dubai has another surprise for you, the two female cops in Dubai, drive Rolls Royce... they are not allowed to patrol on the highway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi...

How fast are these cop cars you ask.... These cop cars are so fast... They arrive at the scene of the crime before the crime is even committed...
Another waste of taxpayers monies. When and where will it stop. We need less gov't control not more. The cops need to go back to marked cars not cars incognito. What we are a gestopo nation where we have to have a sercet police???????? This is getting to far outta hand. Be vup front or don't be here at all.

You do understand this was done in an Arab country that does not collect any taxes from their citizen's right? What made you think of unmarked cars when this one is marked? Only marked police cars? I think you have some other motive than pure patriotism driving your thoughts. While we might be headed there we are still a long shot from being a Gestapo nation. What secret police are you talking about? I know, if you could tell me a name they would not be a secret. Is it the undercover police you mean and are worried about?

I'm not surprised. Birds of a feather flock together. Neither of you seem to know where this is happening, how to spell, or how to form a coherent sentence. What does "briding the GOVT" mean?
