Mercedes-Benz MLCMercedes-Benz is back testing its new MLC, the lifted, 'four-door coupe' crossover that will challenge the BMW X6 for the title of least utile utility vehicle. We've already shown you exterior images, along with a peak at the AMG variant and now, we have our first look at the new Benz's cabin.

The interior looks like pretty standard fare for Mercedes. The center console sports a similar setup for the COMAND infotainment system as the new C-Class, while we can spot what looks like a sort of terrain management system closer to the passenger's side.

The center stack, meanwhile, looks similar to what we've seen on other Mercedes products. The dash, meanwhile, features a wide band of brushed aluminum with a leather-lined dash. The steering wheel also looks borrowed from the C-Class.

On the outside, the camo is slightly lighter, offering up more detail around the fascia, where we can see the intakes underneath what look like GLA-inspired headlights. Overall, the look remains largely in line with the Concept Coupe SUV from the Beijing Motor Show.

Take a look up top for our full gallery of images of the new MLC and its interior.

      Well it can't be as ugly as the X4/X6 right...? Right!?

      As useless as it might be, it is potentially much better looking than the BMW X4, at least.

      Can you hide that horrendous gps screen that they put in every car? Thing looks like it was attached with double sided tape.

      I really don't see the appeal in this or the BMW X6. They are so pointless and overpriced. Plus they aren't even practical. I guess there's a car for everyone.

      German automakers really will follow each other off of cliffs.

        @Lachmund: Who said anything about not liking it? I was responding to a commenter who claimed that no one wants them. That's clearly not the case. If you don't like this vehicle, don't buy one. But commenters shouldn't act like their perspective is shared by everyone. And their impotent anger toward this segment is futile.

      The "I'm rich and guilty about driving an SUV, but I might need something to drive the three days a year it snows in my neighborhood" car/cuv/ugly behemoth. Less utility, more price (Ala BMW) and the shape of a bloated Chevy Citation. Since when does coupe = useless 4 door? A coupe is a two door car. Someone should get the Germans better translation software. Now get off my lawn.

      What we automotive enthusiasts keep failing to recognize is that other people buys cars. Almost no one buys a SUV for its utility. Form trumps function lots of times. Why do you think cities are filled with SUVs that lug around one person? I am looking forward to this. I trust the boys at AMG to go crazy with it. All I have to do is work out how I'm gonna pay for it.

      Coupes have two doors. CUVs have utility. This is neither a coupe nor a CUV.

        So sick of the "not a coupe" argument from people who don't understand what the term really means and why it is used for a 4 (or 5) door.

          @Hello, Brian
          Still not a coupe. I don't care what they call them in Germany or other countries, in the USA coupes have 2 doors and sedans have 4.

      You can see how hideous its going to be even with the camo.
