Mercedes-Benz has released its first advertisement for the S63 AMG Coupe, and well, it's a bit weird. It shows the S63 blazing along a runway, accompanied by the throbbing sound of its 5.5-liter, twin-turbocharged V8.

All told, the imagery is pretty standard, showing the car from inside and out in a pretty, highly stylized manner. What's strange, though, is the poem that plays over the video and audio. We think it describes a tiger or panther. It definitely uses the phrase "feline musk." Oh, and the narrator sounds like Vincent Price's voiceover from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video.

Take a look below for the video and the poem, written for Mercedes by "Betty Stewart" (in quotes, so sayeth the press blast), and then head into Comments and let us know what you think of this nearly two-minute spot.

Small creatures prick ears and tremble with fright.
A sleek velvet phantom is making its way
through shadows, eyes gleaming. It´s searching for prey.

Masterful strides on dark forest tracks.
The prince of the jungle is poised to attack.
His muscles a-ripple, his heart pumping fast
the spectre, he´s ready, his appetite vast.

Feline musk impregnates the air.
Razor-sharp teeth are suddenly bared.
Like lightning he pounces, like thunder his roar
a sound full of power, great might to the fore.

Darkness´ embrace caresses the cat.
The growl is replaced, a purr in its stead.
All sated the phantom is slinking away
As dawn´s pearly light prepares a new day.

Maybe it's Elon Musk he is saying, not feline musk.

That's not really a sacrifice since you won't really be missing anything. Not fair. Be a man and give something up that you'd miss.

Feline Musk? Sounds like cat piss to me. I don't want my $100K+ car to remind me to change the litter box.

The title of this article makes me picture the air vents occasionally marking the driver's face with a quick splurt of cat urine.
