Fairfield, CT, Marks Memorial Day With Parade

It's Memorial Day, ladies and gentlemen, which means that the Summer of 2014 is officially upon us.

We at Autoblog would like to wish you fortune on the start of this very best of all driving seasons, hoping that you've started this one right with some motorsports viewing, backyard grilling and hopefully the company of your friends, family and assorted loved ones. Top-down driving wouldn't go amiss, either.

Of course, we'd also like to take the opportunity to remember those brave souls that have fallen in service to our country. Our most heartfelt thanks goes out to them, their memories and to the men and women that serve in the defense of our country today.

Now, go watch a parade and enjoy your day off, we certainly will. Look for your regularly scheduled Autoblog to return tomorrow.

Actually summer of 2014 is UNOFFICIALLY upon us. It won't be official until a few weeks from now... just sayin'.

Happy Memorial Day! Going to feel even more proud than usual today driving around in my Chevy Cruze and Cadillac ATS. Going to be making sure I have my American flag that rolls up in the window on both of them. Can't wait to eat some barbaque and drink some sweet tea! To all the Americans past and present who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country, thank you so much. This day is for you and you will be in my thoughts.

Thanks to everyone who served! Most of my family and cousins have served (or are serving) and they are certainly some brave souls.
