Based on the compiled evidence, driving in Russia is a perilous, potentially deadly venture that requires complete and total suspension of one's self-preservation instincts. Considering this, you can imagine what it's like riding a motorcycle on the notoriously wild Russian roads.

The unfortunate biker that is the subject of today's video found out the hard way. It looks like he attempted to split the lanes, and another driver took offense, sandwiching the biker (is that a Goldwing?) in the process. As you can guess by our handy headline, things deteriorate rapidly from there.

Take a look below for the full scene.

Fat boy is lucky that when he fell that steel pole 3 feet behind him didn't go right up his back door. He literally came within about a foot of becoming a corn dog.

Big bad biker goes down with one ***** punch. Pretty tame by any standard let alone Russia. I thought I was going to see a good butt kicking when I clicked. Very disappointing.

In terms of escalating quickly I expected a lit cigarette in the gas tank. That would be escalation.

does anyone else see anything missing? if this was in the USA, this confrontation would be ended by a penilely-challenged REAL MAN with a gun (or 6). we'd skip a bunch of pushing, kicking, and shoving, and just end it with 5-6 people dead and 20 injured, including innocent passers-by.

you would get your point across better, if you speak with less offense. Can't become what you despise.

Are you serious? Not everyone in the USA packs heat. Not everyone in the USA is a psychopathic killer. Of *all* the guns and *all* the people that OWN guns, the percentage of those that actually use them against another person is so insanely low that it's not even funny. I'm sure you're more than happy to ignore the times when a gun is used in self-defense and actually saves a life...? Look at cities with gun control (I'm looking at you Chicago). Works real well, doesn't it? You're only going to keep the honest people honest. Those who want to get guns are still going to do so. If you don't like having guns around, move some place with gun control laws. For you, I'd suggest Chicago.

Funny how you think of penises when you think of men owning guns. I mean that's what really crosses your mind when you watched this video? Odd I must say.

To me it seems motorcyclists always want to go faster than the cars by splitting lanes & weaving in & out of lanes. Why can't they just stay in one lane like the other cars & wait their turn? As a car driver it is really annoying to drive beside any motorcyclists because they are erratic, never keep safety distances, & always swerve passed you as if they have some special right to the road more than the others. I hope all bikers are banned from all roads & all fall off & die if they cannot drive like the other cars. Always swerving past you without keeping safety distance... they absolutely have no respect to the other car drivers on the road.

Maybe WE don't have any respect for cars because they're clueless idiots who are too busy texting, on the phone, fiddling with the stereo or talking to their passenger to actually SEE us. They run us out of our lanes, they cut us off, etc. We're fed up with it. The best defense agaist this is to move faster than traffic and just stay the hell out of cars' way. But even then it doesn't always work because we'll have some overly-entitled piece of crap that can't stand the idea of somebody getting ahead of or past him that has to chase us down and try to start something. How about just driving and if somebody wants to get by you, be it a car or a bike, just LET them and go on with your life? Is that too much to ask?

if you tried to run between me and another vehicle I would simple splatter you with my 3/4 ton truck. I would then run over you and make sure your guts were well smeared into the pavement. Backup and to it again. If I have the time I would then get out and dance in your pile of entrails. Now who is more nuts, me or you?

Ya, you would be surprised how many bikers I see that talk/fiddles with their phones or fiddle with the stereo on their bike. In California lane splitting is legal, helps cut down on traffic a little because even though bikes are small, they still take up space and more dangerous if the car doesn't see you and rear ends you and squashes you between the cars in front and behind. Fortunately, most bikers I've seen are fairly courteous.

RobG you've made as many false generalizations as the OP did. There are a LOT of unsafe motorcyclists on the road, as a group they don't serve their peers well. To the point lane splitting IS better for the cyclist but the idea of moving faster than traffic being safer is hogwash. This is the biggest thing bikers do that's unsafe, it's common to see them doing double the limit in city traffic. You know why you don't want to be going 70 in a 35? Because you reduce the ability for the driver to be able to make the right decision on right of way, as well as the obvious- you can stop or avoid a collision at 35 but you can't at 70. Just remember in the end if you're lane splitting and there's a collision it's almost always your fault.
