We are living in a fantastic time for movies about cars and motor racing. The Fast and Furious franchise brings mindless action, and movies like Rush show there can be a more intellectual side to motorsports. There's even room for some interesting documentaries, as well. Havana Motor Club is trying to tell the story of racing in Cuba, and a new doc called Speed Sisters explores the first all-female, Palestinian racing team.

Speed Sisters is still in production, but there is already a trailer. The movie focuses on five women from the Speed Sisters racing team and how they use motorsports to deal with the challenges in their lives. In a broader context, it's an examination of modern life in the Middle East for women. It's a sophisticated approach, but even if the politically related stuff doesn't interest you, it looks like there's plenty of racing action too.

As auto enthusiasts, it's great to see this renaissance of car films, from the big-budget action movies to the more intimate documentaries. Speed Sisters looks to be a great addition to the group. Scroll down to watch the trailer.

Autoblog, Simple report and leave it at that. Do not add apologizes for simply reporting on a motor racing female team. Apologizing is taking sides as you are only apologizing to one side. Thanks for the report.

It's sad people here made this to be more than it should be. Instead of praising these women for finding a positive outlet in a hobby we all love they have made it a political commenting battleground. Get over yourselves people, enjoy the video for the positive impact racing has on these women rather than using it as a tool to throw your own political proxy.

Autoblog and Mr. Chris Bruce specifically, why did you feel any need whatsoever, to place that update/disclaimer at the top of your article? Let me guess, Mr. Bruce, you felt no need, but pressure came from above perhaps? So much for totally free journalism when one must apologise for mentioning a country. Disappointing.

Give it rest people. No one was looking for a geopolitical argument here, the site is about cars and car culture, leave it there. Find another site to vent...

Great to see how people in difficult phases of living still have the hunger for cars and racing. That's a good essence in showing. Forget for once the hatred. It's realism that it's A>Difficult due to oppression. and B> The girls do live in a macho culture, where the male is the boss. So from more perspectives very interesting. Thank you autoblog!

Typical HuffPost yellow journalism. There is no such thing as a "Palestinian". The Palestinians are an invented race. The West Bank and Gaza are part of Israel. The people living there are Israelis. The "Palestinian" race was only invented out of a despicable hatred of Jews. ANYONE who uses the term "Palestinian" is either ill informed or is an extremist like the rest of them. Israel rightfully won the West Bank and the Gaza in a war in 1967. They have just as much right to give the Gaza or West Bank back as the US has to give California and Texas back to Mexico. The people over the are degenerate dirtbags who will have to suffer as a whole for their villas extremism. Ik think the NSA should monitor the acticivity of pro-Palestinian bloggers for terrorist acticivity. I'm sure the Tsarniev brothers were also Pro Palestine.

Palestinians wouldn't consider themselves Israelis, and I haven't met an Israeli yet who considers Palestinians to be Israelis.

I think the NSA needs to monitor you for your activities. The more you posts here the more you sound like a domestic terrorist. I hope the police ambush you if you even glance a mosque.

The palistinians are occupiers that live in Jordan and Egypt and squat on their land. The muslims see them little better than dogs and use them as political pawns in perpetual poverty and war to keep the masses focused on those evil jews as a deflection from how brutal and oppressive the muslim rulers are. But nothing I just typed or that you did maters to most of the ignorant on these boards who only know what CNN tells them.

I thought shekels were a form of currency. Or is what you mean is to make them poor?
