Here is the first 30-second trailer for the reality show Motor City Masters, and there's one thing we know for sure: it looks like a reality show. Announced last October and put together by the team behind Project Runway, the premise swaps fashion designers and frocks for car designers and concepts. In each episode, the ten designers (or however many of them remain) will create a new "fully functional (though not street legal) concept car."

The trailer doesn't give us much beyond the same bites of reality-show drama that are the genre's trademark, so it's impossible to tell right now how good - or not - it's going to be. Nor do we know who all the judges are, but Ford GT designer Camillo Pardo gets a line in the trailer so that's probably not the last we've seen of him, and we know that Jean Jennings of Automobile will bring her talents, as well. You can check out the trailer for yourself below.

"Ford GT designer" Seeing that the Ford GT is pretty much a straight copy of the old GT40, it doesn't seem like the 'designer' did much designing.

Valid point. Also Camilo's "other" design/build was the Ford Focus.. I'm sorry but the car is great on gas mileage but it's nothing I would ever buy my mother. Camilo is a good designer, but with 25 yrs in the business, I expect more from him than the weird, "slow" accent. Also what's up with his fashion design thing? Dude if you design fashion, try designing another shirt besides that same white button up, with the blue stripes. You're on TV every week... I'm sure Darby could help you pick out another shirt, or did TruTv only allow you to bring one shirt?

Darby Barber and Bryan Thompson are my two favorites to win. Camilo Pardo is a good designer... He simply takes a different approach than the others. I also think a person with two and a half decades more experience then the others should be able to show he has two and a half decades more experience.. Idk if this speaks more about his experience, or if it shows how great the other contestants are responding to his background. I am glad Shane Baxley was FINALY told to kick rocks! That dude's head was the size of the van he unsuccessfully attempted to make into a mobile dog grooming vehicle. He was the egotistical, crybaby, that thought he was head and shoulders above everybody else in the contest this season. Super annoying and blamed everybody else for the mistakes on the builds. He should have been gone a long time ago. He did however provide very good comic relief! But the show is serious now, so the clowns had to go. I think if you took Henry Winkler and put him in a bozo the clown outfit, and told him he was part of InSync or one of the Backstreet Boys, you would get a Shane Baxley. Sorry for rambling... Golly that felt good. I needed to vent (smash the whining crybaby Shane) after watching Motor City Masters on demand tonight.. Have a great day folks! Congrats to Camilo, Darby, & Bryan.
