Saudi Stunt Driver Sentenced To 1,000 Lashes, Ten Years In Prison
The man known as 'The King of Nazeem Neighborhood' narrowly avoided the death penalty
In multiple YouTube videos he made with friends, the man is seen drifting through traffic, speeding into oncoming lanes and firing machine guns into the air, according to Saudi Gazette. One of his drifting stunts killed a man.
The King of Nazeem is actually getting off light. The three presiding judges voted to reject the death penalty two to one. The Prosecutor-General objected and vowed to have the case reviewed.
This wouldn't be the first time Saudi Arabia has executed a street stunt driver for causing deaths. In 2012, a street driver was sentenced to beheading after killing two people at a stunt show.
