Honda officially debuted the refreshed 2014 Civic SI Coupe at the SEMA Show last November, but it has taken until now for the Japanese automaker to share full pricing and specs for its high-performance coupe and sedan.

The Si Coupe will go on sale at dealers on March 12 starting at $22,790, and the Si Sedan will follow on March 26 for $22,990 – both prices include a $790 destination charge. Buyers can opt to add summer tires for and additional $200 and navigation for $1,500. While the updates are relatively small, they are welcome.

Both bodystyles are fitted with a slightly tweaked 2.4-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder engine with 205 horsepower and 174 pound-feet, an increase of 4 hp and 4 lb-ft of torque, and they only come with a six-speed manual. Fuel economy is unchanged from last year at 22 miles per gallon city, 31 mpg highway and 25 mpg combined. Honda didn't reveal performance specs, so we can't be sure if the small boost helps acceleration at all.

In addition to the peppier engine, the Si models have an upgraded suspension with new spring rates, revised dampers and a stiffer rear stabilizer bar. They also get some standard tech additions like a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, push-button start and Honda's LaneWatch blind spot monitoring. The key differentiating factor between the two bodystyles is that the coupe wears a restyled hood, front fenders, headlights, and taillights for 2014.

With more power, a retuned suspension, an upgraded interior, a host of new features and a restyled coupe model, the 2014 Civic Si is ready to impress. Add to this a Best Resale Value Award3 from trusted vehicle valuation source Kelley Blue Book and a minimal $275 increase in the starting price, and the 2014 Civic Si is poised for success. The 2014 Honda Civic Si Coupe goes on-sale tomorrow, March 12, with a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) starting at $22,7904. The 2014 Civic Si Sedan goes on-sale March 26 with an MSRP starting at $22,9904.

The restyled 2014 Civic Si Coupe, riding on larger (+1 inch) performance-styled 18-inch alloy wheels, has an aggressive, sporty presence. As with all 2014 Civic coupe models, the Si styles a more aggressive hood, front fenders and headlight designs, and new taillight lenses and side mirrors. The sporty aura of the Si is further accentuated by an Si-exclusive grille and lower front-bumper garnish and rear air diffuser, and a large wing spoiler. Inside, Si-exclusive seat fabric and trim is enhanced with a sport-oriented black and red color scheme and the audio panel received a high tech, race-inspired carbon fiber-style design.

To back up the bling, a retuned exhaust system boosts the engine output of both the Si Coupe and Si Sedan by 4 horsepower (205)1 and 4 lb-ft of torque (1742). The Si's 2.4-liter i-VTEC® DOHC 16-valve engine is mated to a close-ratio, 6-speed manual transmission. For superior sport handling, the suspension is revised with higher rate springs, new dampers and a stiffer rear stabilizer bar.

As much fun as the Si's engine and chassis offer, there is more to enjoy in the interior. For 2014 the Si Coupe and Si Sedan add as standard equipment Honda's new 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen, which uses a smartphone-like interface, allowing users to swipe, tap and pinch their way through audio, phonebook, media, vehicle information and available navigation features. The display is also the interface for the next generation HondaLink™, the application based platform that connects customers to smartphone-provided online content both inside and outside the car. Also standard on the 2014 Si is the convenient Smart Entry with Push Button start, expanded view driver's mirror and Honda LaneWatch™ display for enhanced driver visibility.

      Im no fan of the looks of the Si but where else can you buy a 200hp 6 spd manual compact for $22k? Also, for those complaining about the power there is one reason why VW, Honda, and even Toyota (gt86 as an example) stick to the magic 200hp number --INSURANCE.

      People rag on the current Civic Si all the time but tell me where else you can get a 200hp compact with all the features and amenities for 22k. The only comparison is the Fiesta ST which are in different classes. Also for the the ignorant the 4hp bump doesn't really mean anything. The important information most likely is that they re-calibrated the engine management for improved performance and drivability. Just look at the performance numbers, even with 200hp the Civic Si is on par performance wise with the rest of the segment.

        I agree. For the price, it's actually a good car. It's not really a performance sports compact, but it offers a lot for the money. It's also a lot more reliable than the cars that make more power via a turbocharger. That being said, a long list of sport compacts and hot hatches leave the Si in the dust. My main complaint? The styling, inside and out. I actually rather have an Accord Hybrid based on looks alone.

          car engine has certain compression normally higher than turbo engines 9.5:1, just slapping on a turbo can make it unreliable, car manufacture design these engines with lower compression 8:1, although some turbo engine that uses DI today can use higher compression of 10:1.

      I can only laugh at the SI owner who challenge my 04 mustang gt to a race a few years back. He thought his Mugen 4 door Si sedan was fast because it was a Mugen with aero bits. A 2 door regular SI is faster than his Mugen, let alone a car that has twice the torque like the 04 GT I use to have back then. What I am saying with this is that costumers sometimes are very clueless about their cars capabilities, and when they face with reality, its so unreal they don't even believe it.

        I agree but these kind of complaints are getting old. It's still a NA 2.0L 4 cylinder engine so 205hp is not bad. If you want a turbo with more power then there are plenty of options. I'm guessing the next Si will have a 2.0T with closer to 300hp though.

      These cars compared to the turbo competition have an untouchable reliability record. For that reason Honda keep them N/A. Just take some time a check the forums of the turbo cars in the same segment. You will see many threads about "My engine blew up and I was stock". Also their aftermarket support is huge. There are enough parts to make it a very fast car.

        But is a very mild increase in potential reliability really worth getting your doors blown off by every single other competitive vehicle? Yes, you can make an Si fast. With a turbo or supercharger. So you spend $6000 on a turbo or supercharger kit to make maybe a safe 250-270 whp (hard to go beyond that reliably in a stock block K24, too much compression), in the process voiding your warranty and introducing all the reliability issues of the factory turbocharged competition and more. Or you could've just bought one of the turbo cars that made that much power out of the box, with a warranty. And spend that same $6k on a turbo car, you're making a hell of a lot more power. Hell, you can make more than 300 whp with less than $1000 in mods and spend the rest on suspension, drivetrain reliability mods, tires, and driver's school. The Si is just flat outdated. It's still an enjoyable car, but it is ridiculously far behind it's peers at this point. Unless you are a naturally aspirated die-hard, there is just no reason to buy the Si over basically any of its peers.

      This car is downright fugly compared to my '06 Si Coupe. It's over styled. As far as cost, my no-Nav Si cost $20,200 in 2006. Nav was an extra $2,000 then. At least Honda has done a good job of keeping costs in line.
