Ram Trucks TwitterSnagging a celebrity endorsement is a big deal for automakers, as evidenced by the recent efforts of the Detroit Three to try and woo The Tonight Show's newest host, Jimmy Fallon, into one of their trucks.

After announcing during Wednesday night's show that he was in the market for a pickup truck, Fallon set off a firestorm of efforts on Twitter, with both Ford and Chevrolet petitioning the funnyman to test out a truck. According to Ad Age, Ford recommended the King Ranch edition of its next-generation F-150 while the show was still airing. Chevy, meanwhile, waited until the next morning to pitch a Silverado to Fallon.

The winner of this social media feeding frenzy, though, was Ram. Promoting a variation of its "Guts, Glory, Ram" tagline, the Auburn Hills-based manufacturer created the hashtag #GUTSGLORYFallon. It even went so far as to park a Ram 1500 outside 30 Rockefeller Center in New York, where The Tonight Show is filmed. On the back of the Ram sat a sign, reading "Big enough, Jimmy? Test it out," referencing a joke from the Wednesday show.

Which truck do you think is best for Fallon? Let us know down in the comments.

This guy? Is he serious? He gloats about his Prius all the time. I highly doubt he will get into a truck, especially in NYC.

Ram had won more truck awards since 2009 for a reason, because it is the best truck on the market. If Jimmy wants the best truck, he should get a Ram.

Pretty much. And Ram's sales have been rapidly rising. Amazingly good trucks.

The HEMI ( faux ) Ram Express is not fast as hell. It's governed to 105 mph. Since when is that spped fast as hell? Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

But this still handles like a pickup. The first corner will have skid marks straight off the road.

Still too mainstream. Maybe a Korean Bongo-truck, or something off the wall like that.

The last thing I'd want to drive in Manhattan is a full-size truck. That said? Ram 1500 diesel, extended cab, short box, 2WD, limited slip differential.

4+4. New York gets lots of snow. Rear wheel drive isn't too good on snow.

Why buy a 2wd pickup in the Tri State/Northeast? Snow makes this a useless lawn/driveway ornament.

If you're Jimmy Fallon, a guy from Mass, a guy who has experienced snow, and you have basically an unlimited budget for a truck (certainly more than your average autoblogger), why would you cheap out, get the 2wd lawn ornament, and make winter driving a miserable and terrifying experience?

That Guy is right. 4wd is good for the 3 months that we might get snow here, but the other 9 months, the extra weight is just a drag on fuel economy. Plus, if your a decent driver and add some weight to the back end, you won't need it, unless you like to off road a lot, that's a different story.

I'd just get the new F150. All the other trucks are either out dated, ugly, or look like toys.

I think Jim wants a truck that: 1. Starts in the morning. 2. Won't have the paint flaking off 3. Won't corrode 4. Isn't made out of cheap beer cans.

My god, you truck fanboys are the worst. This is why everyone thinks you're all uneducated morons -- Chevy, Ford, and Dodge are selling the best pickups that have ever been produced. ALL of them. The same can not be said for cars or vans, but for trucks? These are the days where you guys can have it all. And instead, it's "derp, if you buy that one it's gonna esplode, a hyur." GROW UP.

Beer cans? Do some research. Just like there are different grades of steel, theres also different grades of aluminum. The new F-150 will not be made out of beer can grade. In your case better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. The rest of your comments just just as much BS as you beer can rant.
