If you haven't taken the plunge into next-generation console racing yet, we can't recommend it highly enough. We were all but totally smitten when we got our first chance to play and review Forza Motorsport 5 this past fall, and still see the title as the crown jewel of the current lineup of Xbox One games. (Though admittedly we're biased about, you know, car games.)

Good news then, if you've been holding off on pulling the trigger until now: Forza and Xbox are offering a bundle. Starting on March 10 and running for a limited time, you can pick up an Xbox One for the retail price ($500), and get Forza 5 thrown in, normally $60 retail, gratis.

While the original source for the news is a bit shy in terms of detail, we reached out to Xbox for some further, more granular information on the deal. We can report that the bundle includes all the normal components that ship with XB1: Kinect sensor, one wireless controller and a headset. There won't be a physical disc for Forza in the box, but there will be a token for a digital download of the complete title. The file is about 34.32 GB, for what it's worth.

The Xbox team also indicated that the Forza bundle is a limited time, limited availability deal, and does not indicate a price reduction for the Xbox One hardware. We couldn't pin down a list of participating retailers, sadly, with our contacts saying that shoppers should confirm availability with their local retailers. Phone calls to a few big outlets in our area (Game Stop, Best Buy and Toys "R" Us) revealed the SKUs for the bundle are not in systems as yet, but we imagine we might be just ahead of the marketing push on this one. Game on.

I've been really disappointed with the DLC car selection. What makes it worse is that they're actually charging for the first 60 DLC cars. At the very least they could have brought the car and track roster up to Forza 4 levels and then charge for DLC beyond that. I don't think anyone would have had a problem with that as we realized it was rushed for launch.

Just what I want, an unfinished game rushed to release to be a day one title, On a lack luster console that's nothing more than an underperforming PC , with a ton of limitations and pointless backwards compatibility limits such as the expensive driving wheels that have NO reason not to work with it. Lemme jump on that.

No kidding. I've had many many consoles ever since the beginning starting with my Atari and am getting to a point where I am considering my Xbox One being the last. They just aren't practical from an economical standpoint. Considering going back to PC gaming and build myself something nice.

Still holding out on the new Forza until they release a "complete" version which includes all the DLC cars and tracks that were already given to us in previous games. When Microsoft decides to stop being greedy for the sake of turning a profit, then I will consider giving them my money.

After being a day 1 Xbox one and Forza 5 user I can whole heartedly say, don't bother. its half a game with terrible DLC to try to make up for it, It makes GT5 look like good.

Is there any demand for Forza left? Seeing how terrible the Xbox One is doing worldwide one can surely see Microsoft is getting kinda desperate. Cheaper prices are always welcome but somehow I would feel fu**ed being an early adopter.

I literally just bought an Xbox One and a copy of FM5. It's better than I was expecting, although I had low expectations from what I'd read and seen online.
