European tuners show up at the Geneva Motor Show in spades to display their very expensive wares in hopes of finding a handful of buyers. The only way to set your company apart is to make cars that are increasingly extreme. Mansory is no different, and to keep up with competitors it has brought the 1,600-horsepower Carbonado GT to Switzerland.

The GT starts life as a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, but practically every body panel is replaced with new carbon fiber pieces. It doesn't hide it either with the entire center portion of the car finished in clear-coated carbon. The biggest changes include fenders that are 1.6-inches wider at the front and 2.0-inches wider in the rear, and even the wheels have carbon inlays.

To make sure the Carbonado GT has the power to back up its hardcore looks, Mansory has fitted the Aventador's 6.5-liter V12 with two turbochargers to produce the aforementioned 1,600 hp and torque electronically limited to 855 pound-feet. The powertrain is upgraded to take the boost with pistons, connecting rods, rod bearings, crankshaft and cylinder head being replaced with high-performance units. Mansory claims the highly modified engine gets the GT to 62 miles per hour in 2.1 seconds and to a top speed of 230 mph.

The power certainly lives up to the looks, we think. Read more about it in the press release below.

Carbon fibre everywhere the eye can see: The ultralight and high-strength material of carbon fibre finds ample uses even in the series version of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. MANSORY purposefully continued to use it in the completely reworked MANSORY CARBONADO GT as the main component of all its bodywork components. Every single element of the MANSORY aerodynamic design is made in prepreg autoclave process in perfect surface quality and precision-built into the vehicle. A carbon fibre weave with a stealth-look is being used, which is being exclusively deployed by MANSORY in vehicle construction.

An eye-catching new feature of the newly styled Aventador front is the striking skirt with the optimised air intakes for improved ventilation of the front radiator. In combination with the new front lip spoiler and the proprietary developed daytime running lights MANSORY has not only achieved an aggressive appearance but also generated additional drive. Also the front wing, as well as the bonnet will be exchanged and replaced by proprietary developments. The sides have grown by 40 millimetres on the front and by a remarkable 50 millimetres on the rear axle in width. Newly designed side skirts are also fitted. These steady the air flow between the axles and feed additional cooling air into the drive unit and the rear braking system through integrated routing channels. The diffuser built into the new rear spoiler stabilises the rear at high speeds and creates surface contact pressure together with the enlarged rear wing on the rear axle. The body styling kit is completed by the replacement of the roof and engine compartment cover by all-carbon elements.

But the MANSORY customized Aventador impresses not only with its fascinating design. MANSORY has completely reworked the 6.5 litre V12 cylinder and fitted it with two MANSORY turbochargers. Furthermore the pistons, connecting rods, rod bearings, crankshaft, crank and cylinder head have been replaced by motor racing parts and now meet the high demands of Kourosh Mansory. Together with the newly designed exhaust system from the manifold right up to the stainless steel tailpipes, which give superior performance characteristics. Instead of 700 hp (515 kW) the CARBONADO GT achieves an impressive 1600 hp (1176 kW), while the maximum electronically-limited torque increases to 1200 Nm. This accelerates the bi-turbo twelve-cylinder from zero to one hundred (km/h) in a breathtaking 2.1 seconds. The top speed is faster than 370 km/h which is also significantly higher than with the base vehicle.

Of course, only the best components are worth considering for the conversion of engine power into propulsion: As the perfect wheel-tyre combination MANSORY has built ultralight striking forged rims with carbon fibre inlays with 9.0 x 20 and 13.0 x 21 dimensions with Pirelli P ZERO tyres in VA 255/30 ZR20 and HA 355/25 ZR21 sizes.

The Lamborghini refinement program finds a perfect fulfilment in the extensive interior applications. Naturally only the finest of materials are used. The processed leather used for the seats as well as the dashboard is particularly durable yet still extraordinarily soft. This characteristic natural product with its individual graining and the perfect hand stitching conveys an air of extravagant flair around the newly designed sports steering wheel with airbag. In order to accent the character of the CARBONADO GT interior even more non-slip aluminium pedals as well as genuine carbon fibre components are used on the doors, the fittings and the centre console.

The newly positioned starter button presents one of the technical highlights of the interior. In the style of an aircraft cockpit switch MANSORY has relocated this red switch from the centre console to the roof lining.

MANSORY Design & Holding GmbH exclusively offers their own specially developed modification accessories. It does not trade in complete vehicles and also does not offer these for sale.

do anyone knows how much it costs to hire some russian commandos? I want to hire a group to set a incursion to Mansory design office with the objective of extracting their design team, so we can "reeducate them". Depending on the price I believe we can set a kickstarter for it...

You guys got me all excited for a 1,600 HP Fiat Panda :\

The carbon weave is sexy too bad its proprietary.

I'm guessing they haven't done a whole lot to strengthen the transmission or the AWD system if they had to limit the torque so severely. Half as much torque as horsepower is a big disparity. The 0-60 time is impressive. The article says the the top speed is 230 mph, but the press release clearly states that it has a top speed "faster than 370 km/h" (which is 230 mph). It will almost certainly go much faster, given that the stock car get to 217 mph with less than half that much power. Gallardos with that much power have been known to top 250 mph just in the standing mile.

It may be only 230 if they don't change the gear ratio and it redlines in 7th before running out of oomph. As for the torque, it does seem kinda low for 1600hp doesn't it? Because at any given rpm, hp=lbft/5252*rpm, it would have to make 855lbft at 9800 rpm to produce 1600hp, or rev even higher if torque is less than max value at redline. Those are some pretty impossible rpms for a big displacement, non Formula One V12, and even less likely from a supercharged one.

I hadn't thought of gearing as the limiting factor. You may be right. It's ridiculous to give a car such a power boost and not at least change the differential gearing.

It's hard to get worked up about "only" 230 mph top speed or "only" 855 ft-lbs of torque. It's so insanely expensive I can just barely get excited about anything at all related to these super-exotics. All I keep thinking of is "income disparity" and "waste of resources" Give me a LS swapped old pickup or a direct injected Vette, any day.

well at least it can beat a gt-r 0-60
