Jeremy Lin rose to prominence as a point guard for the New York Knicks in February of 2012 when he came out of nowhere to lead the team to a string of victories. Volvo was quick to notice and signed him as the company's US spokesperson that March. Since then, he has starred in several Volvo advertisements, and his latest ad shows just how he uses his Volvo XC60 to train for the court. The highlight is Lin shooting free throws out of the sunroof.

Since leaving the Knicks, Lin has lost some of the visibility and hype that attracted Volvo to him in the first place. Still, commercials must be made, so check out Lin's latest below.

So which community college was behind this video...I'd give them a b+ if they were first year students.

This guy is a **** player and everyone knows it. The only reason ANYONE gives a **** about him is because he's *OHHHHH EMMMMM GEEEEEE ASIAN*. To quote Floyd Mayweather, others do what he does every night. But do they get all the lamestream media hype that this guy gets? Hell no. The lamestream media wants you to believe that "underdogs" can go somewhere, which is completely flase. "Underdogs" go nowhere. They are the ones flipping your burgers, asking you for change on the streets, and filling our prisons. Who we are is determined by our genes. You get the bad genes, you ain't going nowhere.

I can see where you're coming from, but I think your snarky comment went off the deep end. Jeremy Lin has more than earned his own keep, and I don't think he needs people like you to validate it. But to go ahead and call him an "underdog" because of his "inferior" genes is downright racist. Asians may not be known for their athleticism, but if I recall correctly, China DID beat the U.S. in the Olympic gold medal count (again) in 2012.

Dude, anger and hating cuts your life down. Truth is, if you can handle it, is that Lin is a legit player--Asian, black, white, Jew, whatever. He belongs. He's not Chris Paul, but barring injury, he'll be playing for several years. And, dude, he might get better. Must burn you up inside, huh?

Even if he plays poorly, he's got a few years of NBA under his belt, along with a Harvard degree. He'll do just fine.

Seems like they are just putting in minimal efforts. Volvo needs to do a whole lot more PR-wise to come back from oblivion.

What do you mean Volvo needs to come back from oblivious? Either I'm delusional or you are an uninformed dimwit trying to sound smart. Are you an investor? I made over 30% on Volvo this past year. Research your stats before pontificating.

You don't want your car to give you a workout. isn't this, like, the exact opposite of what one would want to do to sell a car? Can.......can I just drive it?

Yeah, I don't think this is the actual commercial to put on TV ... probably just a concept pilot, so when the Volvo execs choose it, they will have a much larger budget to put together a real commercial ad.
