There are any number of adjectives we could come up with to describe the Morgan 3 Wheeler – fun, exotic, playful, retro – but we'd never have thought to compare it to a horse. Interestingly, that's exactly what the blokes from XCAR in the UK came up with while testing out the little British V-twin-powered plaything.

So, what does a three-wheeled Morgan have to do with a massive four-legged equine beast? We'll leave that explanation up to XCAR. Along with that somewhat questionable association, the video below features plenty of driving action, beautiful scenery and glorious engine notes. We suggest you scroll down below to take it all in for yourself.

Morgan is a breed of walking horse named after Justin Morgan. Wikipedia for the details if you're curious.

(And yes, I know that wasn't the explanation given, but it's another tie-in)

Looks like a blast but not at that price. I guess its all about the exclusivity.

If you want to go 3-wheels, have modern tech, and not pay $50 grand, get a Can Am Spyder, made by Bombardier.

I throw up in my mouth a little bit every time I see a Can Am Spyder on the road.

Then you're riding ON the vehicle not IN it. Absolutely no protection whatsoever. No storage. No interaction with a passenger. The point of this is having most of the advantages of a car while avoiding most of the disadvantages of a motorcycle. While this, a Morgan, is expensive there are other three wheelers, specifically kit cars, that can lop $15-20 grand off the price of the Morgan. A low priced version of this with a roof is what people ought to be driving in town. Motorcycle insurance and motorcycle's gas mileage and cost of operation. The fourth wheel is really expensive.

I saw one, oddly at Tractor Supply, and it made me weep (figuratively). It is gorgeous but I won't fit.
